Justin Jett: World Traveler. Filmmaker. Porn Star.
"Never give up." That is what the tattoo reads on the gorgeous chest of the gorgeous Justin Jett. This is an especially appropriate motto for Justin, who came to the adult industry at forty and after a very successful career as a documentary and short filmmaker with movies shown all over the world. With such an accomplished prior career, why did Justin choose to move in front of the camera? Fleshbot has the scoop!
Let's start with a few basics: Name? Age? Hometown? Occupation?
Justin Jett. I’m 45 years old. I am from Michoacan, Mexico. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences with specialty in Documentary Film Production at the Tec de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, a Master’s Degree in Filmmaking at the London Film School in London, United Kingdom, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Development from Zhejiang University (in Hangzhou, China), and Fudan University (in Shanghai, China) joint with the Secretariat of Economy of Mexico. I’ve studied a lot!
How did you create your stage name?
I put a lot of thought into it! I didn’t want to be another “Rock”, “Steel”, “Hard”, “Stone”, “Wolf” and the like… I just wanted to have fun and not take this porn venture (or life!) too seriously. I wanted the name to have a pun, to be memorable, and I wanted it to be and sound like a name that could be real, that it could be a mix of feminine and masculine, and have a deeper meaning for me. I wanted to have the same initial as my real first name, Jorge, so it had to start with a "J". Stage names are easier to remember when the initial for the name and last name is the same (Cole Connor, Beau Buttler, Drew Dixon, etc.) so I wanted the last name to also start with "J". I did a preliminary list of names starting with "J," and Justin reminded me of the book “Justine or the Misfortunes of Virtue” from the Marquis de Sade. That alone already gives a sexual connotation to the name, and even in its masculine form, it sounds a bit soft or feminine to me. For the last name, I wanted to convey power, strength, and masculinity. I thought of the color Jet Black. And the word Jet (Jett) refers to agility, swiftness, ambition, and airplanes. Also, a Jetter is a device that ejects a pressurized stream of liquid, a tool that is used to clear pipes, hehehe. In obsolete English, it means one who struts; one who bears himself jauntily; a bit of a fop.
Finally, is it Justin Jett? Not just-in yet? I can take some big ones and more than one at a time. Phew! There you go! Of course, for viewers, it’s just my name, lol.

Could you share some of your background with us? How was your upbringing in Mexico? What was the gay culture like? How did that develop who you are?
I was raised as a Catholic in a very conservative family, so I grew up full of doubts and shame. I was also bullied at school for being a sissy. Even going to church or having a confession I was told I was a sinner and that I would go to hell for being a “sodomite”. It took me a lot of work to leave all that behind and accept and love myself as I am. I stopped practicing religion, but I didn’t stop being spiritual. I believe we are more than physical beings and that the world and life itself are nothing short of a miracle. I came out to my siblings and parents in my early 20s after one of my closest friends committed suicide because his family couldn’t accept he was gay. My family accepted and supported me, and still do. They know I am doing porn and even if that’s not what they wanted or expected they respect my decision and love me the same. I left Mexico in 2005 and moved to China, I wanted to be on my own and come to terms with my sexuality without societal pressure. Mexico is now very different, and being gay is not taboo anymore. Gay couples can walk hand in hand, get married, adopt kids, and no one bats an eyelash.
How did this lead to the world of porn?
I was already living in London, and a friend called me and said naked photos of me had been posted on Twitter and were being sent in group chats on WhatsApp and Telegram. Someone I sent those pics to on Grindr had screenshot them and posted them with my real name and address! I was kind of known regionally in Mexico because my short films were shown on national TV, in festivals, and I was interviewed for newspapers, magazines, and TV shows. I had a somewhat large following on Instagram because of that (and lots of thirst traps). I thought nobody would take me seriously as a filmmaker after that, and my reputation would be over. A couple of weeks later, Covid hit, and I started getting requests on IG to open an OnlyFans. I decided to flip the situation to my advantage and use those photos and chats to launch my OnlyFans. Studio porn was a natural evolution after a year or two doing OF.
You have come to the business later in life. Does it have any challenges or advantages?
An advantage is that I know what I want, and I put in the time and effort to get the results I want.
A disadvantage would be that my career will have a shorter lifespan than that of people who start in their 20s or so.

Tell us about some of your world travels. Any great stories?
A very memorable one was in Thailand, where I participated in a group with two straight(ish) male twins, a couple more guys, and some women (I've always been bi, sexually speaking, but socially and romantically gay), anyway, we all ended up playing with each other. One of the straight guys grabbed my ass and said my ass was nicer than the women's asses and we ended up fucking. It was such a fun and wild night without labels.
I don't think people should be boxed into categories. I hear time and time again some gay guys saying "I am gay and I can't fuck women, therefore you can't either. Otherwise you're a fake gay and are trying to erase gays". First, the only thing trying to get erased from their statement is bisexuality. Second, that assertion is as ludicrous as a straight man saying "I am a man and I can't fuck other men, therefore you can't and you're trying to erase heterosexuality"... a lot of the time we as gays ask for inclusivity while not willing to be inclusive ourselves.
You have worked behind the camera as well. Does this have any advantages for your performances on screen?
Absolutely! I know as a director what I would want my actors to give me, so I try to give that in my performances. The ideal scenario is when actor, camera, and director are working in unison, and that's when magic happens.
Will we get Justin Jett-directed movies? What types of scenes do you want to do?
Oh, yes, for sure. The ultimate goal would be to do something like "Stranger by the Lake" by Alain Guiraudie or "Dry Wind" by Daniel Nolasco, which, while being arthouse movies, blur the line with pornography by showing a considerable amount of explicit sex driven by the narrative.
How do you like studio work vs OF work? Any preference? Why?
I love both. The advantages of studio are that they will make you look your best, you get to play different situations and roles, and they do all the marketing, plus it's instant money, but it's hours of work, up to 7 hours if it's a complicated scene. There are glimpses of the real me, but it's mostly role-playing.
With fansites collaborations, it's much more straightforward. I try to keep it as real as possible. Basically, it's the real me having real sex, enjoying it, and documenting it for you to watch. I try to avoid storylines and overproducing. We go with the flow and get someone to record it or use tripods. Then, of course, we have to edit it, promote it, and sell it.

What are your plans and ambitions in the industry moving forward? Any dream scenarios? Scene partners?
Probably having my own studio and/or directing for my favorite studios. A dream scenario is getting gangbanged. The guys at Treasure Island asked me if I had a fantasy that I wanted to do and I said "a gangbang", so they asked me to choose and propose tops, they contacted them, and they made it happen for me. You can't miss this video when it comes out. A few guys came multiple times, the chemistry was insane.
I would love to do a narrative feature, maybe a sequel to "Hidden Trusts" directed by Alter Sin for TLA/Gay Angel Films in which I worked with Pietro Duarte, Bastian Karim, and Scott Carter. I'd love to explore what happened to these characters after the events of the first film.
About scene partners, Paddy O'Brian is a dream to work with. We just won the European Grabby for Best Collaboration of the Year for a threesome we did with our very good friend Alex Ink. It literally was the best threesome, I got to top both of them! I love those two men, they're the best.
A threesome for Men.com with Paddy and Jack Bandit was just released, and it's doing great, and soon my first 1 on 1 with Paddy will be released by Raging Stallion. In any situation and for any studio, I know that working with him, we will excel. Who knows? Maybe next year we win Best Duo or Best Scene?
I’m loving Nakedsword’s “Spain in the Ass” series, on the first movie we gangbanged Dean Young, and on the second movie coming out in a couple of months, we gangbanged Mr Deepvoice. I love the group of tops we formed in front of the camera for both movies, so if I were offered to take the role of the bottom for a future installment, I’d do it without any hesitation.
Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of porn. Interests? Hobbies? Beliefs?
I love nature, cinema, traveling, opera, classical music, rock, and pop. I go to the cinema once or twice a week, and to the gym 5 or 6 times per week. I meditate every day. I only go to clubs if I am performing. I would rather stay at home watching a movie with friends or my significant other. I am not religious at all, but I am very spiritual. That's the real Justin.

What is your favorite thing about sex?
Connecting. Even if it's casual sex, cruising, or a quick encounter, it's always best when you connect, when you are knowingly giving and receiving sexual energy. And I love edging, can do it forever. It not only enhances the orgasm, but it can be equally satisfying and intense as an orgasm.
