Chris Crisco: Launching ChoiceFilmz Productions

Chris Crisco is one of our best friends here at Fleshbot. The founder and head of Choice Talent Management is the master behind booking the most talented and gorgeous performers in adult entertainment. He is also one of the most talented and experienced videographers in the industry. If this weren't enough, Chris is now taking on another challenge by starting his own production company of ChoiceFilmz. This new company seeks to combine the technical and artistic quality of studio-budgeted films with the organic realness and instant access of creator platforms. He is giving Fleshbot the exclusive on this new business model that could potentially change the entire industry.

How is 2025 going for Chris Crisco? What is the latest?

2025 has started off with a bang—literally and figuratively. We launched ChoiceFilmz right out of the gate and kicked things off during GayVN/AVN week in Las Vegas. In just 7 days, we shot 57 scenes—all while attending award shows, parties, and the AVN Expo. It was exhilarating, chaotic in the best way, and honestly, one of the most creatively charged weeks of my career. We captured lightning in a bottle and made something really special happen.

How is Choice Talent Management doing?

Choice Talent Management is doing great. We’re still incredibly busy booking talent with the biggest studios in the industry, and I’m so proud of how those relationships have grown over the years. I’m especially thankful to the casting teams who continue to trust and rely on us—it means a lot. We’ve built an amazing roster of men, and we take pride in representing some of the most in-demand performers out there. When you book with Choice, you know the talent will show up prepared, professional, and ready to deliver.

Tell us about your new venture with ChoiceFilmz

ChoiceFilmz is our newest venture, and we’re very excited about it. For years, friends and colleagues kept telling me I should start a studio, but having worked behind the scenes at one, the idea honestly freaked me out. I avoided it for a long time. But after a long, honest conversation with my good friend and mentor, Mark Henderson, the idea started to feel less intimidating—and more like a real possibility. So, with a little help from my friends (cue the music), I launched ChoiceFilmz... and prayed to the porn gods. Luckily, they answered, and we’re off to a wild and amazing start. And if I can get personal for a moment, one of the biggest reasons I started ChoiceFilmz is my
sister. And raising money for her. She has a genetic disorder called Usher Syndrome, which is causing her to slowly lose both her sight and hearing. There are emerging medical breakthroughs in gene therapy that could help preserve—or even regenerate—her vision, but they’re incredibly expensive and not covered by insurance. Thanks, big pharma! My sister has two young sons who mean everything to our family, and it breaks my heart to see how this disease is pulling them away from her. She can barely see them now, and I believe she deserves to watch them grow. So, one of the biggest driving forces behind this entire venture is raising the money to help her afford those treatments. This isn’t just about building a brand—it’s about building a future that can change someone’s life.

How is this new production company different from others? What do you hope to accomplish with it?

ChoiceFilmz stands apart from most studios in a few key ways. First and foremost, we operate entirely as a content share production company. That means once a scene is edited and ready, the models get the content immediately, and they’re free to release it either before or alongside us. We believe in giving performers ownership over their work. Another big difference is our creative approach. I encourage the models to bring their own ideas to the table—how the scene should look, feel, and flow—and I offer guidance or suggestions when needed. They have full creative control, which leads to more authentic and exciting scenes. And of course, with Choice Talent Management, I have access to a wide and diverse pool of international models that most studios don’t. That allows us to create unique pairings and showcase talent that brings something fresh to the screen. Another core goal of ChoiceFilmz is using the platform to boost our Choice Talent models across all of our socials and content platforms. My objective is to introduce ChoiceFilmz fans to models they may not know about and encourage them to follow and subscribe to those performers directly. It’s about spotlighting talent, building their audience, and helping them grow their brand beyond just a single scene. One of my biggest goals with this new endeavor is to create opportunities for my models to collaborate with brands they may not have had access to otherwise. During our Vegas shoots, I was thrilled to partner with my WONDERFUL friends at Modus Vivendi, who sent us an incredible box of beautiful underwear. I’ve worked with Modus Vivendi for many years, and they were the first brand that came to mind when I envisioned who I wanted dressing our models. I trust them, I love their aesthetic, and I knew they’d help us bring a level of style and polish that would take our scenes to the next level. Introducing my talent to respected, high-quality brands like Modus Vivendi means the world to me. It elevates the production value, and more importantly, it helps our models feel seen, sexy, and celebrated. I’m beyond thankful to Modus Vivendi for believing in us and taking a chance on ChoiceFilmz, and I’m excited to keep building partnerships with them and other LGBTQ+ brands to raise the bar on everything we create. Check out our friends at Modus Vivendi and explore their stunning collection: https://e-modusvivendi.com/

On top of working with incredible brands, I also believe it’s important for my models to have opportunities to collaborate with photographers who can elevate their stills and promotional content. I was beyond thrilled—and honestly a little shocked it didn’t take more convincing—when my good friend and photography mentor, Mark Henderson, agreed to join me on the Vegas shoots. Giving models the opportunity to work with photographers like Mark allows them to better understand their bodies and how to use poses to their advantage. Many of my models have told me that after working with Mark, they feel far more confident in front of the camera. They’ve learned how to highlight their muscles, make their abs pop, and present themselves in ways that feel strong and sexy. What’s even better is seeing them take that knowledge and apply it to other sets. That kind of growth—that boost in self-awareness and self-presentation—is a huge part of what I hope ChoiceFilmz continues to bring to the table.

What are some of the big projects you have planned for this production company?

Our next big project is a content house in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, this May during the first-ever ICCA Awards. We’ve rented a gorgeous private villa with its own beach, giving us an incredible and unique backdrop for our scenes. Choice Talent models will be flying in from Europe, Australia, and South America, and I’m especially excited to collaborate with some creators I haven’t worked with before. I’ll be traveling with my friend and longtime collaborator Mark Henderson, who’ll be handling some solo and group photography while I cover most of the stills and all the videography. It’s going to be an intense week of shooting—but also a lot of fun.

How are the performers you manage responding to it?

Most of my performers are very excited about this new venture with ChoiceFilmz. A lot of them have felt stuck shooting in the same city, waiting for content creators to come to them. This gives them a real reason to get out of their comfort zone, travel somewhere new, and work with a professional team and fellow creators they may never have crossed paths with otherwise. Over the years, I’ve met some truly incredible performers from all over the world. My network is vast, and being able to introduce my talent to models I’ve worked with in the past—or even those I’ve been talking to on socials—opens up a whole new level of collaboration. It’s helping my guys create content that’s not just fresh, but ready to be seen on a much bigger, more global scale. That said, some of my talent have a very specific way they like to shoot—whether that means working with their own crew or choosing not to do content shares at all. And that’s totally cool. Everyone has their own approach that works for them. So, while many of my models see ChoiceFilmz as an opportunity to expand their reach, others prefer to stick with the process that fits their brand, and I completely support that. ChoiceFilmz isn’t meant to replace anything; it’s just another bonus offering to help my amazing models branch out and travel more if they choose to.

How are the big studios you book for responding?

Honestly? I think most of the studios I work with think I’m a little nuts—in a good way, I hope! I’ll never forget chatting with Sister Roma at the GayVN launch party. By that point, we’d already shot over 30 scenes in just four days, and when I told her what we were doing, the look on her face was priceless. Total disbelief. Now, to be fair, we’re a content-sharing production company, so our shoot days are structured very differently. Unlike traditional studios that might spend an entire day filming one scene, we’re able to wrap a full scene, including stills, in about an hour and a half. That efficiency allows us to shoot 6 to 8 scenes in a single day. That said, it’s still intense. The hours are long, the pace is fast, and the coordination is real. But when you’re organized and working with models who are excited to be there, it’s totally possible—and super rewarding.

Are you doing any writing/directing for this new production company?

I’m not writing for ChoiceFilmz, and honestly, that’s by design. We’re producing so many scenes that scripting each one just isn’t realistic, and that’s totally fine. The energy we’re capturing doesn’t require rigid scripts. What I am doing is directing every scene. I’m behind the camera for all of it, shaping the flow and making sure everything looks polished and professional. But like I mentioned earlier, the creative direction comes largely from the models themselves. Each performer comes in with their own goals and ideas for what they want their scene to look and feel like, and I fully support that. Of course, if I see a way to elevate their concept or add something visually dynamic, I’ll speak up and collaborate. I always say: the more you can make a scene stand apart from everything else out there, the better it’ll be received. And sometimes, that means pulling ideas from everyone involved in the shoot.

Do you have a filmmaking process? Could you take us through one of your shoots?

Absolutely. A typical shoot with ChoiceFilmz moves fast. The models show up, and we start by gathering IDs and having them sign all the required 2257 paperwork. From there, we discuss wardrobe, take solo and duo or group stills, talk through how we want the scene to look and feel, and then we dive into shooting the video portion. All of this happens in about an hour and a half. It’s a tight, efficient process, and the models are usually out the door as soon as we’re wrapped. The pace is non-stop—I’m talking 9 or 10 a.m. call times that stretch to 10 or 11 p.m. before I even realize the day’s over. Thankfully, I usually have at least one model in the house who reminds me to drink some water or eat something, because once we get rolling, even taking 10 minutes for a snack can totally slip my mind. It’s intense, but it works, and when everyone’s locked in, the results are incredible.

How do you create the best sex on film?

We create the best sex by giving performers the freedom to make the kind of porn they want to make. They get to choose who they work with, how the scene plays out, and what feels right for them. That autonomy makes all the difference. With studio porn—and this isn’t a knock, just a reality—performers often have little say in their scene partners, how they’re filmed, or what they’re asked to do. I completely understand why some content creators are hesitant about that. When all creative input is removed, it stops feeling personal. But in collab scenes, performers have the power to have sex their way, and you can feel that on camera. The chemistry is more authentic, the energy is real, and the viewer gets to experience something that’s genuinely hot because it’s not forced or scripted—it’s lived.

How do you look back on your work? What scenes and movies stand out and why?

This is such a hard question—and honestly, I’m not sure I have a perfect answer. I’ve been in this industry for almost 20 years, and I’ve had the incredible luck to work all over the world with some of the most talented performers and creatives out there. Asking me to pick a favorite movie or scene is like asking a mom to pick her favorite kid—it’s impossible. That said, some trips definitely stand out—not because they were necessarily the best, but because they pushed me the hardest. There have been shoots with crazy locations, complicated scripts, or major language barriers… and somehow, thanks to the porn gods, they all came together in the end. If I had to give you a couple standout examples: Filming in Costa Rica, deep in the jungle—basically every nightmare scenario you can imagine happened, and we still pulled it off. There is a story I’ll tell some other time about a poisonous snake being flung at me…….ugh. Filming in Ibiza with motorcycle chases, staged fight scenes on docks, models smashing prop bottles over their heads, jumping off cliffs, and firing prop guns. Oh, and did I mention jellyfish? I’ve got stories for days. Honestly, there’s probably a book in here somewhere. One day…

You have been at this for a long time. What has been the secret to your longevity?

I really have been doing this a long time, and the only thing that’s kept it from becoming boring or repetitive is constantly reinventing myself and pushing my abilities. I’ve always looked for new challenges, new roles, and new ways to grow. I started in this industry as a marketing assistant (huge shout out to Marc MacNamara for giving me my first shot), then moved into production. At first, I was the lube and condom guy and ran sound as the boom operator. From there, I became a production manager and casting director, then started directing my own films. Eventually, I launched my management company, and now I’ve come full circle—back behind the camera, but this time shooting for my own platform. So yeah, reinvention is definitely the key to longevity. That, and saying yes to the things that scare you a little. And always asking for help when you need it. You don’t make it this far alone.

Director, talent manager, and now production company head. How do you see yourself in this industry overall?

Little ol’ me? How do I see myself? Honestly, I don’t think I have a perfect answer. I don’t see myself as any bigger or more important than anyone else in this industry—I’m just me. I work hard, stay grounded, and surround myself with people who share my work ethic and believe in what we’re creating. When it’s all said and done—whether I leave the industry or this world—I’d like to think I had a hand in building something meaningful and that I helped shape performers, gave them opportunities, and brought something new and exciting to the space. That’s enough for me. I’ve been lucky to discover and work with some of the biggest names in the industry, and watching them grow, not just as performers but as people—that’s the real reward. I don’t need trophies to validate my work. I know what I’ve accomplished. And that’s more than enough.

How have you changed?

I’ve changed in so many ways. If I look back at the Chris Chrisco of 2008, when I first joined the industry, the biggest shift has been in how I see myself. Back then, I was shy, not very self-aware, and said no to a lot of things that scared me or made me uncomfortable. I didn’t fully believe in what I was capable of. Now? I’m kind of a yes man. I’ve learned that I can—I can take risks, I can lead, I can build something from the ground up. I’m way more confident, both personally and professionally. And I’m grounded in my abilities in a way I wasn’t before. That shift in mindset has changed everything.

What are some things you still want to accomplish as a filmmaker? Scenes? Movies? Etc.

There’s still so much I want to accomplish. Launching ChoiceFilmz has only fueled my drive to grow Choice Talent Management into something even bigger. I’ve been in talks with toy companies to make dildos and masturbators of my guys and production companies about developing a reality TV show based on the agency and the studio—taking the world of Choice and turning it into a full-on universe. Honestly, I’m excited about exploring uncharted waters, building new connections, and continuing to push boundaries creatively and professionally. I don’t know exactly where it’s all headed yet, but I do know I’m all in—and the possibilities are endless.

How is everything going outside of your filmmaking career? What about just Chris? Hobbies? Interests? Beliefs?

Ah, the question I’ve been low-key dreading—but here we are. One thing keeping my busy, when not shooting, is being a guncle to two very energetic boys, Socrates, who just turned 3, and Alexander, who will be two in July. They are truly amazing, but their energy is unmatched. A day babysitting them is like being on set for a solid week. It’s exhausting. But wouldn’t change it for the world. Once upon a time, I was a kid who fell in love with performing. I went to school for musical theatre, got my degree, and fully expected to become a professional actor. Life, of course, had other plans—and while my path shifted into a different kind of spotlight, that love for performing never left me. So, I guess you could say one of my hobbies is musical theatre. It’s still in my blood. I haven’t had the time to fully dive back into it—this career demands a lot—but one day, I’d love to return to the stage. Once you’ve got theatre in your soul, it’s hard to ever really let it go. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to be cast as the lead in the musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert out in California, where I got to live my best life singing disco hits and going in and out of drag—all while delivering a powerful message to the audience. I was honored to have several of my Choice models come out to support me, and even had a special visit from Mama Chi Chi LaRue and Sister Roma. It meant the world to me. Outside of that… well, here’s something I haven’t really said out loud: this old queen is actually considering jumping back into the dating pool. With hesitation, of course. But I’m getting to that point where I don’t want to do life alone anymore. I’ve let my career and my dedication to others come before my own personal happiness for a long time—and I think it’s time to shift that just a little. I’m ready for something real, for connection. Whew. That sounded like an OKCupid profile, didn’t it? But hey, there it is. Putting it out into the universe...
