Olympic Gold Medalist Matthew Mitcham Opens Up About His OnlyFans

Matthew Mitcham made queer history during the 2008 Olympics by winning the gold medal as a diver on the 10m platform. He became the first openly gay man to win an Olympic gold medal. Years later, he caused a stir when he joined OnlyFans and started releasing adult content. He recently appeared on the All Out podcast and spilled the tea about life after joining the platform.

He defended his OnlyFans account by stating that he had been working on his body for 20 years, why not make some money from it? Matthew said he was comfortable with it and wasn't crossing any of his own boundaries.

Mitcham also said that it was difficult to balance having an OnlyFans and being active in mainstream media. He said that stigma towards OnlyFans still exists and it limits what kind of jobs he can get in television and radio. He said that he tries to keep his content artistic rather than pornographic. Even so, he says that some people still consider him a porn star.

He also went on to share about his relationship with addiction and depression, saying that after his Olympic win, he had a rough period working through it. He also went on to say that even though he made queer history, he is often forgotten in LGBTQ history. He also says that Tom Daley and his squeaky clean persona has made him the favorite queer athlete, and that Matthew often feels left out of the queer conversation.

When being interviewed, Robbie defended his OnlyFans presence by saying he couldn't pay his bills from being an Olympian and the platform offers him an income that he otherwise wouldn't have.
