No, Rafael Nadal Did NOT Really Come Out...But Here's His Butt

Last week, BBC Sport app users were hit with a push notification that tennis pro Rafael Nadal had come out as gay. Rafael's perfect bubble butt has often been paid homage by the gay community, and gay social media went crazy. Here's the thing, he didn't really come out. Apple's AI-generated feature sent out the story in error. Their Apple Intelligence was pulling in information from another BBC story that Brazilian tennis player Joao Lucas Reis da Silva had come out. João Lucas Reis da Silva is the first ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) to come out as gay. He took to social media to make his announcement by featuring pictures of his boyfriend. Apple is since updating its platform and also sending out a warning to users when AI creates a push notification story.

Since the Apple Intelligence rollout this past October, it also sent out an incorrect message about darts player Luke Littler winning the PDC World Darts Championship. Yes, he did win, but the story was posted before the final round took place. Outside of sports headlines, the AI system at Apple has posted a handful of incorrect news headlines. We respect Rafael and his sexuality, but hot damn, our fantasies were already going crazy.
