Top Gay Beaches of North America 2024!

Even as we are getting into the thick of winter and are starting to layer our outfits and get that holiday spare tire around our waist, we can still daydream about warm, gay beaches where the water is so rough it knocks the Speedos off hot men as they get out of the water. Sigh. We miss summer. Well, to bring back the memories of sea salt air and sandy bubble butts, GayCities has released their list of the Top Gay Beaches of North America for this year and have open voting so beach goers can pick their favorites. Let's go through them!

11th/12th Street Beach, Miami

We know that Miami is a hotbed of muscle men and beach butts. 11th/12th Street remains one of the most popular gay beaches in the US. There are pride-colored lifeguard stands, packed sand with gay guys, and many events with DJs and dancing that will keep you mingling. It is also a stepping distance from the world-famous gay bar, Palace.

Asbury Park Beach, New Jersey

Gay beaches in New Jersey??? Yup! Cab's here! Asbury Park was a sleep little shore town until the gays came in. With visitors pouring in from NYC and surrounding areas, it has become a vibrant area with shops, restaurants, and lots of gay guys to stare at.

Will Rogers State Beach, Los Angeles

As far as gay beaches go, we know Will Rogers all too well since our HQ is in the same city. It has been nicknamed Ginger Rogers Beach by the gays and we can attest that this beach remains busy AND cruisy all year round. It is a hot pickup spot and you'll see many of Los Angeles' porn star community showing off a lot of skin while roaming around the beach. Just be careful, the cops have been known to lurk in the shadows waiting for illicit activity.

Playa Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico

Traveling south of the border will lead you to many gay beaches in Mexico. Playa Zipolite is a very free area and is Mexico's first and only legal nude beach. It has a very anything-goes attitude and even has a hotel and hostel for nudists. Aye aye aye!

Sebastian Beach, Ft. Lauderdale

Even though the state of Florida seems hell-bent on keeping us at bay, the gay beaches continue to thrive. Sebastian Street remains one of the most popular for gay beachgoers. It is located near many of the gay resorts and has been named the "Hottest U.S. Gay Beach" by Out Traveler.

Baker Beach, San Francisco

You may see some naked guys along Baker Beach. The north part of the beach tends to get more playful, wink wink. Not only can you get a great view of a guy's dick, but you can also get a great view and photo op of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Hollywood Beach, Chicago

Hold on to make your visit to Hollywood Beach until the summer, then it will be full of gays running around in the sand. Among gay beaches, this is very seasonal and you'll want to wait till things heat up. This is a low-key beach where you can relax and get some quiet gay time. It is close to much of the thriving LGBTQ scene.

Black's Beach, San Diego

Rounding out the list of gay beaches is Black's Beach. This beach is infamous for naked men and gay fun. We have visited many, many times! It is officially a nude beach and though diverse, has more than its fair share of naked gays. It tends to be very cruisy so don't forget your Doxy along with your sunscreen.
