100 Arrested at Gay Underwear Party

Many of us gay men have a big underwear fetish. Sometimes seeing a guy's bulge and VPL under a hot pair of undies is hotter than seeing a plainly naked man. The allure and tease of what lies underneath make our hearts skip a beat. Seeing a hot ass under that fabric and imagining our fingers grabbing a feel just gets us going. And what's hotter than a guy in underwear? How about 100 guys in underwear? It all sounds hot until the cops show up. This weekend, police in Bangkok raided a gay underwear party at the luxury hotel S31 Sukhumvit Hotel after being tipped off about a sex party with attendees under the influence.

Police found around 120 people in a room on the 20th floor and found guys hanging out in their underwear drinking while listening to music. Allegedly, the partygoers were under the influence of more than just booze 100 men were arrested after testing positive for a variety of narcotics. Bangkok has a very low tolerance for illegal substances and the penalty for possession can result in long prison sentences or even the death penalty for large quantities of illegal products. Narcotics are an issue in certain Asian countries, with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime reporting over 190 tons of methamphetamines being seized in East and Southeast Asia last year.

Thailand recently became the first nation in Southeast Asia to legalize same-sex marriages and the country will recognize couples starting this coming January. Not only was this move a benefit to the LGBTQ community but it is also predicted to generate over $2 billion for the country through increased tourism from the queer community. It will also create around 152,000 jobs to handle the increase in weddings.

The raiding of a gay underwear party doesn't look too good for the community, especially in light of the recent legalization of marriages. Was this a targeted raid because the group was gay or because they were indulging in illegal substances? Bangkok is seen as the most LGBTQ-friendly city in Southeast Asia. It is estimated that 8%, around 5 million, citizens are LGBTQ+. In 2015, the nation adopted anti-discrimination laws that included sexual orientation and gender identity. The capital boasts an active queer nightlife and dating scene. The Tourism Authority of Thailand launched a campaign targeted towards LGBTQ tourists with the tagline "Go Thai Be Free."

So, a word of warning, go have fun, run around in your underwear, just don't partake in substances you shouldn't be using.
