Hottie Omar Apollo Having Gay Sex With Daniel Craig In "Queer"
Social media went crazy this week as queer, Latino singer turned actor Omar Apollo flashed his butt in a behind-the-scenes moment from his gay sex scene with Daniel Craig in Luca Guadagnino's steamy film Queer. His scene with Daniel Craig has a lot of buzz due to its graphic nature. Moments from the scene popped up on social media prior, but were quickly taken down. Both Omar and Daniel Craig have talked extensively about the intensity and intimacy of the scene and how they worked through it together. Omar posted a (pardon the pun) cheeky photo in which a makeup artist is preparing his bubble butt for the scene. Check out the posts from Omar's Instagram.
Queer is based on the 1985 William S. Burroughs’ book and tells the story of an American ex-pat (Daniel Craig) living in Mexico City in the 1940s. He struggles with drinking and looking for love in all the wrong places. Casual sex is part of his life. Omar plays a young man who who encounters and although the sex is dynamic and primal, leaves him feeling empty and wanting more.
Omar was born in Indiana to Mexican parents who immigrated from Guadalajara. He started playing the guitar when he was 12 years old and started working at McDonald's when he was 17 so he could save up for a computer and microphone. He started uploading his music to Soundcloud and Spotify.

Apollo's song "Ugotme" was picked as a Fresh Find my Spotify and in one year, racked up more than 15 million streams. He was signed by Warner Records and his debut album, Ivory, earned him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Check out how much he's changed from that first song.
In previous interviews, Apollo had shied away from talking about or confirming his sexuality. He was accused of queer baiting. He came out officially via a billboard for his Coachella appearance; the billboard read “Heterosexuality can be cured. Just watch Omar Apollo on Friday.” And then he confirmed on Twitter that he "be sucking dick for real."

Apollo's coming out to his family didn't go as well as he had hoped. His song "Ice Slipping" deals with that coming out, and his decision to leave his hometown in Indiana.
For the film Queer, Apollo wrote "Te Maldigo," a song about heartbreak. Could this earn him an Oscar nomination for Best Song? Movie Fact: Apollo went on a soup diet to lose 20 pounds before filming with Daniel Craig.
Queer will be released in movie theaters nationally on December 13th.
