Gay Aging Tips
Some of us gays are finding ourselves getting older. Hangovers are a thing, life issues like mortgage and back pain are a thing, and even finding gray hairs in our pubes is a thing. Sigh. But no matter how much older we get, we still fare a lot better than our older straight counterparts. Gays just know how to do it. We thought we'd take this moment and share some gay aging tips cultivated from Reddit.
Rest
This one sounds dumb, but it is good advice. We have been going going going. From jobs to the gym to hookups, we are always on the move. Sometimes, especially as you enter into gay aging, you just have to allow yourself to do nothing. Sometimes you even have to schedule it. Be a couch potato for a night, stay in bed an extra hour, sit and stare out the window at your hot neighbor, but allow yourself, your body, and your mind to just sit and do nothing. You've earned it and it can rejuvenate you for busier times. Being lazy is often met with guilt, don't let it. You deserve this "you time."
Moisturize All Over
Gay men are usually pretty good with skincare when it comes to the face. We spend hundreds of dollars on face cream and fillers but as we get older, we need to focus on all our body parts. Lotion your hands, lotion your legs, lotion your feet, all these body parts are going to start to wrinkle and get drier as you age.

Check Ups
Ok, this one is not so glamorous but is necessary. We all have gone to the clinic to get tested for STIs and such, but as we get older, regular check ups and preventative screening are all necessary. Men are getting various types of cancer earlier and earlier, the more we check in with our doctors, the more we can be prepared for aging health. Do yourself a favor and find a sexy gay doctor that you will actually enjoy visiting. That will add a thrill to this unsexy part of getting older.
Bedtime
Growing up, our parents knew having a set bedtime was healthy for us. In our youth, we could pass out from the club at 4 am and then be ready for work at 9 am. Not as we enter our gay aging years. Setting a bedtime, though unsexy, makes for better sleep and better health. Sticking to a schedule is better overall.

Journal
Some of us gays hide diaries growing up where we poured our hearts out about our latest crush, our trials and tribulations, and secret wishes. Keeping a journal as we enter into gay aging can be therapeutic, and writing things down like life goals and wishes can keep us on track. It also allows for some quiet time between you and your thoughts.
Yoga
For all those muscled gay gym bunnies out there, we know you hit it hard at the gym. Gay aging means you need to be gentler on your body and mix it up. Put down the barbells from time to time and turn towards yoga. Stretching and getting in tune with your body without the use of a gym machine can help with gay aging. Getting older means knee and back issues, yoga can help with that.
