Hot Actor Jermelle Simon Comes Out

We celebrated National Coming Out Day this month, and actor Jeremelle Simon, currently playing the role of Bennie Upshaw Jr. in the Netflix show The Upshaws, used that momentous day to officially come out via social media. More and more celebs are coming out, and representation from the queer community in Hollywood is in constant growth. We love adding more celebs to our team, and we have to say we don't mind looking at Jermelle's thirst traps on Instagram. Of course he's gay, he's gorgeous!

Jermelle made a heartfelt statement in his Instagram post, saying he was ready to embrace himself and his sexuality. Celebs like Wanda Sykes and Kim Fields commented with their support.

The Upshaws focuses on the lives of a Black working-class family with all of the ups and downs of family life. Though a popular comedy, the show has moments of pathos. Jeremelle's character has come out on the show and shared a beautiful scene with his character's mother. He talked about the need for queer representation in Black communities and hopes to be an inspiration to others hiding their sexuality.

Jermelle is recently going through 75 days of hitting it hard, giving up alcohol, cheat days, sugar, fried foods, and dairy. He is also doing two workouts a day and upping his brain game by reading a minimum of non-fiction every day. 75 days seems a long time, but it is certainly working for him!
