Broadway Rallies For Harris, Stars Set to Livestream
With Trump's views on LGBTQ rights, women's rights, and the arts, it is no wonder that Broadway is officially rallying the troops for Kamala. This coming Monday, October 14th, stars from Hollywood and Broadway will perform live, from New York, for Broadway Rallies for Kamala. This will be performed in front of a live audience and live-streamed for the entire nation to take part. Broadway for Harris has rallied hundreds of volunteers, and made more than 150,000 calls and canvassed more than 11,000 doors in Pennsylvania swing districts. This volunteer coalition has produced a number of fundraisers, phone banking events, canvassing, social media marketing, and more, with a special focus on swing areas in support of the Harris-Waltz ticket. The initial organizing committee kicked off with more than 80 of Broadway's finest from performers, producers, writers, musicians, directors, choreographers, marketing specialists, artists, stage managers, crew, to other professionals from within the Broadway community. Among the impressive committee includes Alan Cumming, Alan Menken, Audra McDonald, Andrew Rannells, Bernadette Peters, Billy Porter, Idina Menzel, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kristin Chenoweth, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Nina West, Raul Esparza, Sarah Paulson, Stephen Schwartz, Wilson Cruz, and Tony Kushner, just to name a small few past LGBTQ supporters and members.
