SIRPLUS: Queer Dating for Guys Over 40

We all know that mature queer men love dating a twink, right? Right? LOL, not always. Times are changing, men are changing and instead of just seeking a young body for hot times, older men are seeking other older men for deeper connections, substantial conversations, and long-lasting romance. SIRPLUS is a queer dating app for GBTQ mature men seeking connections with men their own age, and they have the data to support it.

The dating app recently conducted a survey among queer men related to queer dating. The data collected showed that 50% of men over the age of 40 are actively dating. It also showed that these men are also seeking more information regarding dating tips and sex advice. Some of the 4o and overs find themselves out of a long-term relationship, and we all know how fast gay trends and language pertaining to the dating world can change quickly. Some of these guys haven't been on a date since the dawn of the hookup apps. Coming out of a long-term relationship at a later age dumps queer men in a dating world where open relationships, quick hookups, social media, terms like twunk, and sexual fluidity are new factors. It makes sense that this age group would find solace in other men in the same position, thus the need for SIRPLUS. Yes for sure we love a hot twink, but sometimes we want to talk about politics and not watch Drag Race for ten hours. Sometimes we want to have an actual first date at a restaurant with napkins over a hookup whose name you never got.

SIRPLUS is fairly new to the market, debuting two years ago and joining the ranks of Grindr, Scruff, and Match.com in bringing men together interested in the queer romance scene. The app continues to grow and just launched a new member's newsletter that has everything you need to date men of a certain age. Dating tips, advice, ideas for dates, event news, and sex tips are included as a handbook for those looking for companionship.
