Ryan Murphy is back in his true crime era with arguably his most explicit series to date, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. This is the second installment of his Monster anthology series that kicked off with Dahmer in 2022. Murphy is also the same man who delivered Darren Criss nude in The Assassination of Gianni Versace and Evan Peters nude in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, so we shouldn’t be surprised about what goes down in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, yet here we are.

The famously attractive and elusive Los Angeles brothers were convinced of offing their parents in 1989 when Erik was eighteen years old and Lyle was twenty-one. Rising gay actor Cooper Koch takes on the role of Erik while General Hospital star Nicholas Alexander Chavez is Lyle.

So, what's sexy about all of this? What isn't sexy about all of this, if you're Ryan Murphy? Were the Menendez brothers in love with each other, and did they have sex? These are questions that Murphy happily answers with the help of his willing actors. In Monsters, you can catch Cooper and Nicholas making out nude in the shower together.
