Queer Man Fashion at the 2024 Emmys, Our Hot Take
Last night was the 2024 Emmys and queer representation was all over the place. From hosting, to winning awards, to walking the red carpet, queer men were in the spotlight! Of course, we are going to give our hot take on what fashion worked and what didn't work so well. Of course, we are typing this in our hangover pajamas, but we can still dish!
Bowen Yang
We love men playing with their take on the regular tuxedo. Bowen Yang played with color and fabric with this blouse under a white tux look. While we appreciate his thinking outside the box for the Emmys, this look somehow doesn't look complete. Forgive us, but with that blouse, he looks like the weird, lesbian aunt who shows up at 4th of July with three bottles of Pinot Grigio. Truth be told, we'd love to hang out with that aunt, but the fashion is suspect. Or, he could be that gay cruise ship director who wants you to participate in the ship's talent show.

Mark Indelicato and Carl Clemons-Hopkins from Hacks
Our two gay men from Hacks brought the playful fashion to this year's Emmy, hennie! In keeping with the fun nature of the Emmy Award Winning comedy show, their looks were playful yet classy. Peep them out on the very far left of this cast photo.

Jonathan Bailey
Hot damn, can Jonathan Bailey get any sexier? Not only has he shown us plenty of skin on-screen, but he knows how to heat up the red carpet at the Emmys. Playing with silk texture and a stylized tux, he also shows us a bit of his masculine side with a handful of chest hair. WOOF!

Alan Cumming
Alan Cumming swept at the Emmys, beating RuPaul out for reality TV show host and his show Traitors putting an end to Drag Race's winning streak. He has always been a bit over the top, and this year's Emmys outfit followed suit. On anyone else, it may be too much, but he makes it work because it fits his personality and pushing the envelope. The only thing we would change is the pants under the kilt look. Let it fly free! Layer on layer may be a bit much, especially since we are still having a heat wave in Los Angeles.

Matt Bomer
Not to be outdone by his Fellow Travelers co-star, Matt Bomer also showed us some chest. Want to see his eggplant? Eggplant color that is. He mixed dark purple and black and the result is classy, sleek, and sexy.

Ricky Martin
Ricky Martin kept it traditional and classy. This man could look handsome in a garbage bag. While we appreciate his classic Hollywood look, the fit is a bit dated and we aren't sure if he is going to serve us a martini at the Emmys after-party or if he's going to park our car.

Andrew Scott
This hottie actor understood the assignment. Giving us some queer snaps on the red carpet, he mixed feminine and masculine textures in such a winning way, we absolutely love this look. Again, showing us some chest. Is there another Emmys just for male chests? We'd watch!

Harvey Guillen
Harvey has enjoyed a good fashion relationship with designer Christian Serrano and we are living for it. Throwing all norms out the window, Harvey looks fierce as he shows fashion is not just for the skinny bitches. WERK!
RuPaul
WTF? Girl, no. Sashay, away. This ain't Texas.

Dan Levy
Winning and charming our hearts as the co-host at this year's Emmys, Dan Levy kept it simple and sleek and the result was gorgeous. We loved it and want to see him and his dad back again next year hosting.
