Hottie Ezra Sosa Becomes First Latinx Queer Pro On DWTS!

Hot off the press! GLAAD made the exclusive announcement that out Latin dancer, and total cutie, Ezra Sosa will be joining the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars as a pro. He will be the first Latin pro in over ten years, and will be the first openly gay Latin dancing pro in the show's history. He will be paired up with a celebrity, no word yet on who that will be. Will it be another gay? Who knows?!?!

Ezra, who watched the show as a kid, just recently came out. And say what you will about her, he credits JoJo Siwa for his coming out. He told GLAAD, "When I first met [JoJo Siwa] on the show, she knew I was in the closet, she knew I was gay, but she also knew how uncomfortable I was in my own skin. I went on tour with her...and it was constant days where she would put makeup on my face and I would be bawling in her arms because it made me so uncomfortable because I was raised that it wasn't ok for guys to wear makeup, for guys to wear glittery things, for guys to wear crop tops, but she was this person starting to introduce these things into my life and it took a very long time…”

Ezra also talked about bringing his heritage to the screen. He grew up in Utah and didn't really have an exposure to his culture. Moving to Los Angeles expanded his relationship with his background as he started getting into the world of salsa dancing.

Ezra started dancing early on, studying at the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio in Utah. He was a professional dancer by the age of 13. He hit our TV screens on America's Got Talent and World of Dance. He later appeared with his sister and reached the Top 10 on So You Think You Can Dance. He toured the nation with the live version of SYTYCD and JoJo Siwa. He also performed at this year's Oscars.
