Drag Race's Scarlet Envy Drops New Music, New Book
It's been a big year for Drag Race's Scarlet Envy. Not only did she recently compete on her third iteration of Drag Race for UK vs the World, she also released a new book and a new EP...all while giving us fierce social media to her over 500K followers. After this year, we still want to know, is she the drama?
Little fun fact, Scarlet was raised in Kentucky and raised by two moms. She went to college and got her degree in advertising design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. During college, her drag persona was born, finding her name from Gone With the Wind's Scarlett O'Hara, minus a T. After auditioning four times, she was cast on the 11th season of Drag Race. She was eliminated in the 6th episode but made a huge hit with the fans. She became a national star in no time. She returned for the 6th season of All Stars, and most recently, for UK vs the World. She has had a major glow-up from her first entrance in the Werk Room.
Hot off the heels of her UK vs the World elimination, Scarlet released her first book, a book of poetry titled She's A Poet. It is a collection of 42 poems that range from funny to heartbreaking and are an exploration of her love life, show business, and identity. It also features some never-before-seen photos from her life. She debuted her poetry at a book signing at Circus of Books in Weho.

As if that wasn't enough time in the spotlight, this last Friday she took center stage at the newly christened Tropicana Beaches nightclub in the heart of West Hollywood. What could this diva possibly do to top this year? Open for Katy Perry of course. To a sold-out crowd of gays, Scarlet premiered songs from her new EP, Rain in Hollywood.

The title song off her EP, Rain In Hollywood, is giving us Madonna, synth pop, and a bop that is really catchy. We love it. What can't this queen do?
She is about to embark on a multi city tour across the nation with her new cabaret show Bad Advice, as well as for Witch Perfect with Drag Race alum Tina Burner and Alexis Michelle, as the Sanderson Sisters, lol.
