Reality Star Stud Nicola Porcella Un-Comes Out?

We've had our eye on Peruvian reality TV star Nicol Porcella for a while. What's not to love? With over 5 million followers on Instagram, it looks like we aren't the only ones!

Nicola has had a long winding career in the spotlight. He started playing Peruvian football at an early age, and got into professional ball playing with success. He retired from the sport in 2010, and worked as a cabin crew member and aviation pilot before making his splash on TV.

Among guest appearances in TV shows and roles in telenovelas, he took part in a number of reality TV shows, becoming quite popular. Nicola has grown his media presence greatly over the last few years, also hosting a YouTube interview show and continuing his reign on reality TV.

Porcella appeared on the widely popular La Casa de los Famosos México, which is basically their version of Celebrity Big Brother. Among the cast were members of the LGBTQ community, Wendy Guevara, a trans influencer, and singer Apio Quijano, who identifies as bisexual. In an intimate conversation captured on camera, Nicola admitted to his two cast members that he was not heterosexual. Holding hands with them, he announced that he identified as pansexual. The moment made its rounds on social media.

Ultimately, Porcella would win runner-up to Wendy. When Nicola appeared on Out Of Context with Alexis Moreno podcast, he said his declaration was a joke and that he is indeed, heterosexual. Even though he took back his pansexuality, he maintains his support of the LGBTQ community and believes in equality for everyone. He continues a strong relationship with his trans cast member, in fact the two worked on a music video together.

We can all agree, playing with declarations of one's sexuality is not sexy. We appreciate his allyship for our community, but why would he think coming out is funny? Are we still allowed to drool over Nicola? Sigh. The struggle is real.
