New Music: Lady Gaga with Bruno Mars!
Gay Monsters, rejoice! Last night, Lady Gaga dropped a new tune, dueting with Bruno Mars. The two came together for the first time for their new love ballad, "Die With A Smile." The set up is simple, on an old-fashioned stage with a guitar and keyboard. The two are channeling the retro '60s cowboy era, a la Tammy Wynette with Bruno Mars in a cowboy hat and Lady Gaga in bright red tights. We love it.

Not only did Gaga drop the song, but she appeared on stage for a live performance last night at the grand opening of the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, the audience went nuts.

Gaga said this song will have to tide fans over until her next album, LG7, hits. As of right now, there is no release date. Her last major release was Chromatica in 2020. Her last single release was "Hold My Hand" for the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack in 2022. Bruno's last major solo release was all the way back in 2016.
Gaga released a statement talking about how she and Bruno created the song:
Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating. I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making. We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno’s talent is beyond explanation. His musicianship and vision is next level. There’s no one like him.
Before her next album releases, we will hear her sing on the soundtrack for the October release of Joker: Folie à Deux. The movie will be a musical of sorts, with many covers. Gaga told her fans not to expect her usual fare because she is playing a role and worked hard to make her voice fit the character, not her persona. The final trailer dropped two days ago:
Here's the video for "Die With A Smile." Meh. It's not bad, it's just meh. Your thoughts?
