Drag Race's Pandora Boxx's New Dance Album Hits the Charts

This week, Drag Race alum Pandora Boxx dropped a full dance album, appropriately titled BOXX, and instantly hit #3 on the iTunes Dance Sales Chart. This album is fire and perhaps Pandora's most intimate project to date. BOXX is full of bops, but is also a retelling of key points from Pandora's life, from her youth to her time on Drag Race to where she is today. The album is unapologetically for the queers!

I’m dedicating this album to anyone who has ever felt like they didn’t belong. For all those weirdos like me, who buck the norm and are true to themselves.

Pandora has always been destined for stardom. Growing up in Jamestown, NY, she won a greeting card contest when she was five-years-old and her Easter design was sold in stores. By the fifth grade, she wrote and starred in her first play, "The Trouble with Christmas." She interviewed RuPaul way before Drag Race and knew that their lives would intersect again in the future. She won Miss Congeniality on the 2nd season of Drag Race and appeared in the 1st and 6th seasons of All Stars. She also appeared in all three seasons of Drag U.

This album is a testament to Pandora's growth and a hats off to the brand she has built for herself outside of Drag Race. She's release a string of hits, has appeared globally on stages and Prides, has hosted her own projects, and appeared with Miley Cyrus on the VMAs.

I think some people may realize after listening to BOXX that I am much more than the Pandora that they’ve seen on television. The first show aired in 2010, and I’m not even the same person I was then.

Pandora's BOXX rocks it out on "Pill," an homage to Alice in Wonderland that also recounts some of the struggles she has been through as an adult. "Raspberries" is a throw back to her Carol Channing impression on Snatch Game. "Gay" is her activated response to DeSantis' Dont Say Gay campaign. "Stars" is a tribute to her love affair with Star Trek and her dream of becoming a star. The first single, "Dance," is in honor of her younger self who, as a young boy, was bullied and found joy in locking the door and dancing his troubles away to Madonna. "Dance" is also the first music video from the album.

Check out BOXX, streaming on all major music platforms.
