Drag Race Queens Form A Coalition for Gen Z Voters: Election 2024
We saw the debates, we have seen the social media chatter, and the liberal side is in danger, gurl! We know that we have a lot to lose in this year's Presidential Election. We've already taken so many steps back, how much farther back can we go before the closet doors close back in our face? Cue the trumpets, cue the superhero outfits, Drag Race alum have banded together to form a justice league they have penned Drag PAC.
We are excited to make HERstory with the launch of Drag PAC, the first-ever political action committee led by drag entertainers! Founded by global drag queen super stars, we’re here to engage, educate, and mobilize Gen Z voters✨https://t.co/WckOAxc9y8 pic.twitter.com/i7oWMgVnWX

Founded by Alaska, BenDeLaCreme, Jinkx Monsoon, Monét X Change, Peppermint, and Willam, Drag PAC's mission is simple: Empower LGBTQ+ and protect LGBTQ+ rights through democratic action in 2024. Their voice is going out to Gen Z voters. The group has not endorsed any specific political candidates and stress the need for queer voters to get out and be seen.
The future of democracy IS “all the people” and we need to act, to make that future fabulous.
Their site is very simple in its message, stressing the number of anti-LGBTQ initiatives that have been introduced nationwide (510 and counting). Drag PAC wants you to register to vote (they have a function where you can register), check your registration, and plan ahead on voting day. That simple.
Influencing election outcomes is the most impactful thing the LGBTQ+ community can do to slow the progress of attack legislation and protect our community's rights.

Drag PAC's initial funding, almost $20,000, comes from one of its organizers Dylan Bulkeley-Krane, who also co-founded Disability Action for America.
Proud to partner with @TheDragPac to mobilize Gen Z voters for the 2024 elections! @thehill has the story of the six @RuPaulsDragRace icons who are turning fierce looks into fierce activism: https://t.co/csJJ2I5Ljd #DragPAC #GenZVote #GlitterTheVote #RPDR

Drag PAC's site makes it easy to click on your state to get more information on measures, voting dates, and more voter info. After the debates and after seeing just how old our candidates are, our younger voters (the Gen Z) are probably among the most disillusioned and feeling out of touch with the candidates.
