Ruslan Angelo: My Life in the Biz

Fortunately, while he was between travel locations (and sexual encounters) Ruslan was able to talk to us for his first interview with Fleshbot.

Let's start with a few basics: Age? Hometown? Occupation?

36. Born and raised on the seaside in the north of Sweden. Full-time porn creator.

You have been in the business for a pretty long time now. What has been the secret to your longevity?

The years have passed by very quickly. It feels like I just started but it has been a while now. I started pretty late, but I always wanted to do porn when I was younger. I was scared about how my life would be after I started, but I eventually decided this was the best way to live out my creativity. To keep work good you first have to make the work something you enjoy. You have to keep yourself creative, live out your dreams, and make yourself grow. Being happy, enjoying life, staying healthy, and working out have been the key for me. Being polite and kind to others while working has helped me make and keep good connections.

What are some of the major changes you’ve seen in the industry? Both good and not so good? How have you changed?

I started only doing studio work for my first few years, but I think it was at the same time OnlyFans came up. At that time I didn’t have any interest in doing that because I had another job at home. When I started OnlyFans some years ago it felt like a big family of creators, but over the last couple of years it feels like it's exploded. Now everybody is a creator or has one as a second income or just for fun. From what I've heard, the porn studios now have it a little harder.

You are known for your extensive travels. Could you share about your passion for travel? How have you managed to explore so much of the world?

Ever since I was a kid I traveled a lot with the family and always liked to explore. I like to do activities and stay in the same place for longer periods of time, but I get bored. With this kind of job, it has become very easy to travel around and explore new places. I manage my work, but I also put aside time to see new places. All places have their charm and it’s so interesting to see different cultures and how people live. It never needs to be fancy. I just love to explore! Of all my trips and travels I think Italy is the most beautiful country of all and the food is just the best.

Could you share more about where you are originally from and your early life there?

I grew up in the north of Sweden outside a small town by the seaside. I first moved to Stockholm and also lived in Bangkok and Milano. I was always doing a lot of sports and even at a young age, I worked out a lot. My parents helped me get my first apartment in the city close by. I was living by myself at a very young age, in high school. Even when I was still at home I needed my own car to get to all of my many activities. I have one brother, two years older than me and we are very close and have a lot of the same interests.

What first brought you to porn?

I always always wanted to do porn, but I waited until I met a guy who I became boyfriends with for a short time back in Sweden. He was friends with two other Swedish porn actors. They had just broken up. My new boyfriend and one of the two Swedish porn actors he knew sent an email to Lucas Entertainment. A few weeks later I was filming my first production.

What are your thoughts on the ongoing competition between the OnlyFans platforms and the big Porn Studios? Do you have a preference? Why?

Because I travel around so much, the Fansite platforms are what I put the most effort into. I'm very spontaneous and may likely be in locations where no studio work gets done. I still like to film with a studio but have not put much effort into it recently. Last year I was traveling in South America and filmed only one scene. Now in April, I shot different scenes for four studios back in Spain. It was fun to get filming back with a studio again.

Are there any specific acts or thing(s) you haven't done yet on film (or in life) that you still want to try?

There are some kinks that I think are very hot and make me horny. I've considered getting tied up in different ways, blindfolded, sex machines, or more kinky scenes. I would consider all of those to film. I don't have many limits.

Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of porn. Interests? Hobbies? Beliefs? Passions? Who is the real Ruslan?

I grew up in a very active family and have always done different kinds of sports since I was a kid. I loved to compete in everything and could never take second place. I still like sports but I'm more relaxed about it. Now it's more for fun. Nature is the best. I love skiing, trekking, scuba diving. These are just three of the things I really enjoy the most. I like to be around people, but I like my privacy a lot and like to be alone or with friends one one-on-one. I prefer to be alone over people not giving me anything or just having small conversations about nothing.

Because all fans ask, what was your favorite scene and why?

There are so many great scenes! I would say the sunset scene with Adam Killian for Lucas in Mexico. We filmed in a beautiful location at a beautiful Villa in Puerto Vallarta with a view out to the sea. It was a versatile scene. Always so great to work with Adam. He is such an amazing person with so much creativity and so fun to be around and work with. Another, if I can choose two, was a scene for Eric Videos with Romeo Davis on an abandoned train outside Berlin. We started outside on an abandoned train hanging on the ceiling and so on. Romeo is also another porn actor who is very easy to work with and a great guy who I have several videos with and for sure there will be more.
