TikTok! Here Are the Pride Hashtags to Engage With

TikTok (while we still have it) is getting in on the Pride Month game in a big way, and there's a variety of ways you can get involved. They putting the spotlight on the queer community content creators who not only are popular on the platform, but also inspire, educate, and make an impact. They also have in-app initiatives and in-person events and have titled this year's TikTok Visionary Voices & Pride campaign, You Belong Here. TikTok’s #ForYourPride in-app programming hub will be featuring inspiring stories from creators, LGBTQIA+ owned businesses, and organizations. All are included.

First of all, you should be using #ForYourPride & #PrideTok for your Pride-inspired and inclusive posts. Got it, good!

TikTok LIVE

Starting June 18th, TikTok's Pride on LIVE series will spotlight queer LIVE creators. Head over to their @tiktoklive_us account to engage. The series will feature convos with creators talking about their platform journey. You can learn from some of the leaders in the queer community.

The #Gayming Community

We know gay gamers have become a bigger voice in the video game genre. TikTok is supporting the #gayming community with LIVEs from @gaymingmag's DIGIPRIDE, with a live stream on Juneteenth with a takeover by Black Girl Gamers and more. The platform is also sponsoring the Gayming Awards' “Best LGBTQ Indie Game” awards category. All of the nominees in this category will receive TikTok mentorship to help market and advertise their games.

The Music Community #Pride Anthems

All during the year, TikTok celebrates LGBTQ+ music artists with #PrideAnthems programming. For June, its Sounds page will feature #PrideAnthems playlists. Are you a musician? Add your voice to the mix!

Business Owners #ShopPride

As if we need another reason to shop! This initiative will showcase content from creators and brands allowing shoppers to unbox with a Pride theme. Also, TikTok Shop will host a first-time in-app #ShopwithPride campaign that will specifically feature queer-owned and ally businesses. Many of TikTok top brands will release products just for Pride. This started June 1st!

TikTok is also staying committed to their queer employees. Their interview Employee Resource Group is called PRIDE and hosts events and internal programming to make sure the LGBTQ+ and ally community feel part of the mission of TikTok.

TikTok maintains platform policies that remove content and accounts that participate in harassing, bullying, hate speech, and more that affect our community, including deadnaming and misgendering.
