Adele Sends an Eff You to Concertgoer to Support Pride

Well, we've always known that Adele is one of our favorite singing divas. Not only does her music fulfill all of our gay angst and love energy, but she is a fierce ally of the LGBTQ community. Today the headlines blew up after footage and news of her clapping back at an audience member surfaced as she defended Pride and her queer fans.

Last night, Adele was performing a concert as part of her Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace. In between songs, a disgruntled audience member shouted, "Pride sucks!" Without missing a beat, Adele pointed to the audience member and shot back, “Did you come to my fucking show to say ‘Pride sucks’? Are you fucking stupid? Don’t be so fucking ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, all right?” Then she returned to performing without missing a beat as the audience roared with approval. What kind of idiot would even try that at an Adele concert?

Adele's allyship has always been evident. She acknowledges and supports her queer fans and even dedicated a concert to those who lost their lives during the Orlando Pulse nightclub shootings. She has stated that members of the LGBTQ+ community have been her soulmate since her youth. She also has performed free for Pride in London.

Fun fact, Adele wrote "Set Fire to the Rain" to be a gay anthem, that was always her intention. She has also been known to pop up at a gay club and party the night away side by side with her queer soulmates. Her concerts have seen more than one gay engagement take place on stage, to her avid support.
