Gen Z Leading the Pride Travel Game According to Airbnb

As we head into Pride season, our friends over at Airbnb have released their analytics for travel this summer. Airbnb has been around since 2007 when two hosts welcome guests into their San Francisco home. Now the organization has over 5 million hosts worldwide with over 1.5 billion booked guests. Apparently, the gays love Airbnb as well, and over the past five years, there's been a 300% surge in Gen Z guests. Gen Zers can be classified as anyone mid-to-late 1990s as starting birth years and the early 2010s as ending birth years.

According to Airbnb, LGBTQ millennials continue to book destinations at the traditional Pride locations, but Gen Z is expanding its scope and attending Pride events in new locations. Surprisingly, locations like Cleveland and Charlotte have become part of the Pride route, celebrating new events and increased inclusion.
