Taylor Reign Goes Entrepreneur with “Boy Bottoms x Royal Rejects”

What sparked the idea to start an underwear line?

After over a decade of working both behind and in front of the camera, it was time to get more involved in what makes people happy. Nothing makes a boy feel sexier than a well-crafted pair of underwear or a skimpy swimsuit.

What sets Boy Bottoms apart from other underwear lines out there?

Boy Bottoms is hand-crafted from start to finish. I like other brands that engulf their designs with logos, Boy Bottoms is only here to promote the styles and designs themselves with zero logos or labels. Along with this, we will be doing more collaboration designs with Royal Rejects and Boy Bottoms to give a new type of underwear specifically for show and go-gos.

In your opinion, what do gay guys want the most from their underwear?

We believe gay guys want something that shows off their goodies in the front and back, gives proper support, and also consists of fabrics and designs that not every other brand currently uses.

What were the biggest challenges in creating an underwear line?

The biggest challenge was coming up with the perfect fit that would enhance the appearance of all sizes. Not everybody has a big bubble butt or massive cock. With that said, we had to come up with the perfect design that would properly show off every aspect.

What is the creative process in putting together a new pair of undies?

First, we select the fabric that we want to use. Next, is the type of underwear or “cut” that would look best with the fabric. And while you are coming up with those specifics, you also have to keep in mind your target audience and what they are going to love most.

Who is your ideal customer?

Our ideal customers would be all men who like a comfortable and complimentary fit ranging from the straight male who wants a little flair to their wardrobe, to the “extra” gays who need an eye-catching piece that leaves everyone else wanting their own. We strive for inclusivity and the promotion of all body types and provide this from our sizes ranging from Small to 2XL.

How do you keep your finger on the pulse of changing trends in men’s underwear?

There are a lot of brands out there buying popular stock designs to keep up with the changing trends. Unlike them, we set the trends and designs and lead the way into what is hot and fashionable by constantly coming up with new designs monthly if not weekly.

Has it been hard to establish yourself as an entrepreneur coming from the porn industry?

As an entrepreneur coming from the porn industry, I have found the world to be very excepting of my involvement in both. I have built up a large network of family, friends, and artists to help us reach the stars and shine brighter.

How do you balance your porn life with your business life?

As most people know, I dabble in almost every aspect of production and design. It is a lot of work, but I have luckily been able to comfortably balance and utilize the porn and the design to boost and play off the other.

We see many adult stars trying side hustles, but many do not succeed. Why do you think that is?

Having been in the porn industry for over a decade, I have seen many models try to launch side huddles or brands. I believe many don’t succeed due to the way pornstars see their results. With porn, you are given a big chunk of money for a single shoot which gives them that instant gratification. But with building and starting a side hustle, it takes a while to get the ground running. Part of this is because porn fans aren't always there for the art, but rather just want you to be the character/sex icon they have fantasized about. Adding additional outlets pulls from the image they have created in their head and can sometimes take a backlash on the sales and fandom associated with the porn model.

What other projects are you working on?

Currently, Royal Rejects is also working on producing a new gay porn award event where each award will be sponsored by a studio, company, or brand through cash prizes, goodies, and more. Unlike the other awards, our awards will not just be about what people want to see, but shaping the industry award standards to what is needed.

How do you know what project of yours to work on next?

We always have ideas in our minds for the next big project. Sometimes it can get overwhelming, but with the addition of these other artists and brands joining our family, we are able to strategize when and what to work on next.

Will we see less of you on screen?

Don’t expect to see less of me on screen. As much as I love being behind the camera, I still love providing my fans with the same type of content they have come to know and expect from me.

What advice do you have for an adult star getting into business for themselves?

My advice for anyone getting into the business is to have patience, be humble, and don’t follow others or trade your values for a quick buck. There are tons of models out there who follow the cookie-cutter outline in the industry. But we are in a new era and it’s time for a change. Lead the way.
