Throwback Thursday Looks at the Construction Worker/Blue Collar Fetish

THROWBACK THURSDAY

This guy gets it and describes everything yer boy Hank here was gonna write in just a few words. The love and mystique of blue-collar men, especially construction workers, goes back decades in porn. Even before the earliest Colt men were posing in hardhats and tool belts slung low on their hips above a bulging jockstrap and blue jeans, to the most recent Raging Stallion release Jack of All Trades, construction workers have been idealized and lusted after as the "real man." Internalized homophobia aside which can lead to a vacuum of "real man" arguments (Don-tLetItBringUDown on Reddit calls it a "Homophobic parody of a gay man",) the construction worker in male erotica as a masculine ideal is here to stay.

Full disclosure, I love me some blue-collar beefy Bear meat. And yeah, most of the depictions you see are going to be some variation of a Bear guy: thickly built, some fur, some scruff. That only makes sense; if you want to depict a burly construction worker, you hire burly guys! And I ain't mad about it. So when Falcon released their latest flick featuring a whole lot of sweaty, hard-working men, it sent me down a furry hole of memories.

In 2019, Raging Stallion released Raw Construction featuring real-life designer and amateur bodybuilder Derek Bolt in a scorching scene with Jay Landford in the middle of a construction site. The acting may not be the best, but the set design brings to mind a saw-dust-and-sweat-scented worksite that causes an immediate stirring in one's loins. Seeing Bolt's beefy, built bod get pounded by Landford in the middle of all that equipment is the stuff of blue-collar dreams.

On that same Reddit thread, geezus_osnola said "It’s definitely a fantasy trope, but I’ve gotten lucky to mess around with some (contractors/handymen). Always tastiest right after work."

Pooch McGee and JP Diesel for Bear Films.

Bear Films loves the blue-collar aesthetic, and they did it up right in their release Bears on the Prowl. This scene with Pooch McGee topping a randy construction worker, JP Diesel, right there on the digger out in the open sets a new standard for realism. The scene is right out of a fantasy. They didn't recreate a worksite on a safe, enclosed set, but rather, somehow, got access to actual moving equipment and the land it sat on and filmed right there. With this fantastic scene and the hot and sweaty interaction these two have, one almost gets the sense that someone was wandering by as this was going down and they simply let him film them.

Bruno and Shane for Falcon Studios.

You can go back to the late 70s to find some of the idols of blue-collar and construction fantasies in this scene from Falcon Studios' Hayride. Shane is a wandering, tight-bodied young man who comes across the Latin stud of all studs, Bruno, working in the hot sun. One thing leads to another and Shane's holes are being filled by Bruno's magnificent and iconic shaft on the tailgate of his truck, and across a creatively-situated ladder. If you like your porn pre-condom and scenarios pulled from natural life, spontaneous and raw, then hunt down this title!

What's your favorite blue-collar scenario?
