Flashback Friday Looks at Derek Bolt, Past and Present

This jack of all trades is a bolt of inspiration.

Sometimes you have to look backward to go forward. I'm not exactly sure what this means, but somewhere in this philosophy of sorts is the inspiration to use this Flashback Friday to look back at Derek Bolt's heart-pumping porn work while also looking at his current activities which seem to go all over the place.

He started in the porn industry working with Falcon Studios and its brands, so you can find his more fleshy work on Falcon, Raging Stallion, and Hot House. And wow, does he sizzle in pretty much everything he does! It's his cubby-licious face and shape that first caught yer boy Hank here's eye. He's a packed and stacked brick-house of muscle, but with enough beefy padding to avoid that hard, sinewy look many guys who pump can get. Granted, when you check out his bodybuilding work, he definitely attains that look that is necessary for competition, but in his film work, he seems to achieve that almost impossible blend of both cute and hawt.

As you can see in the video above, he's been achieving some serious powerlifting goals as well as his film work. Bolt is an amateur bodybuilder and competitor who started his lifting journey back in high school, as he explained in 2019 in an interview with Instinct Magazine. Those physical fitness PE tests really stuck, and he says he's been lifting ever since. So how does he compete as a comfortably out gay man in such a "straight" world? Easily. At one of his first competitions, he wore nail polish matching his uniform. Talk about hardcore! This guy is not here to play.

Now you might assume that, being the powerfully built stud that he is, he'd be a dominant top in his film work. But you'd be very wrong! In pretty much all of his scenes, this bulldog of a man leaps into the bottom bunk, offering up his backside for some serious masculine play from a number of equally muscular men. But it means that there's truth in the adage, and the rule, that the bottom is in charge, and when Bolt is bucking back into his men, he's taking his pleasure; he's not succumbing to someone else's! He says he's 60% bottom, so maybe his topping is mostly just for his own private viewing.

Besides his film work and bodybuilding, he's also an architect and designer (he created he and his hubby's rings!) based in DC., and he's willing to let some of his knowledge and interests combine. I saw this post on X that had me smiling, thinking what it'd be like to enter a leather competition space and suddenly start worrying about fire codes!
