Sniffies App Just Named Their Favorite Travel Lube

Who better to give us advice on lube than a hookup app? Sniffies is quickly becoming a favorite cruising resource. It's efficient and localized and cuts down on the chit-chat that can happen on other apps. It's a fast food menu for those wanting some...intimacy. There's no guessing in using the app, you know where the guys are and what they want. End of story. It also is extremely useful in trying to find some cruising haunts or popular gathering spots for like-minded men. For the guys on the go but in crowded public places, they've even released a "vanilla" setting so people next to you don't see all your sluttiness on your screen.

Sniffies recently sampled and reviewed their top pics for lubes on the go. What can slip in your pocket and can be ready at a moment's notice? Nothing worse than being in the mood and finding the guy, with no lubrication to speak of. Spit can only do so much. Here's what Sniffies reported with our hot take.

SportLube: 

Sniffies Take: Apparently the small bottle was delivered to them with lube already leaking out. They placed it #6.

Our Take: Um, leaky bottles? No, thank you. The product looks cute and perfectly sized for on-the-go action, but we don't need a pocket full of lube.

Wet Platinum:

Sniffies Take: Sniffes reported that there was actually too much lube provided in the packet and that it was resealable. They ranked it #5.

Our Take: We actually have our own experience with lube packets. Truth be told, they are tough to open and often you have to use your teeth to rip the top off. Nothing worse then getting a bit of lube in your mouth to get the action started. Also with too much lube, it usually ends up all over your hands - try getting your or someone else's zipper open with lubed-up fingers. Nope.

KY TrueFeel:

Sniffies Take: The maintain it holds the perfect amount of lube but, as a packet, it's not resealable. Ranked #4.

Our Take: We do feel a bit odd using a brand that is so well-branded for the straight community. It's like using your parents' lube. But lube is lube, but still need something that won't soak our pocket if we can't seal it up again.

Swiss Navy:

Sniffies Take: They give kudos to a long-standing brand that every gay has used and some point. It's resealable, a good amount of lube, but apparently, they enjoyed other competitors' packaging better. #3 on the list.

Our Take: Swiss Navy is one of the longest-running brands out there. They continually advertise and support the community, but they haven't changed much of their branding over all these years. You know us, we like shiny and new things. They are like the Domino's Pizza of lube, it always gets the job done, and is the reliable stand-by when you need it quick and easy.

Pjur Original:

Sniffies Take: They love the quality, the shape of the travel vial, the (pardon the pun) screwable cap, and a specialty tip to prevent leaking. #2 on their list.

Our Take: We'll be honest, we've never tried Pjur, but their description makes us want to try it. And who can say no to a specialty tip? We'll take a carton.

UberLube:

Sniffies Take: This is their #1 choice due to the unique packaging and quality of lube. The container is refillable and has a pushdown release so you don't have to worry about putting the cap back on. They also like that the tube is non-descript.

Our Take: We absolutely love UberLube. Yes, it is pricier than other lubes but you get what you pay for. The travel vial is so discreet you can keep it in your pocket, your luggage, in your glove compartment, pretty much anywhere. And it's high-quality packaging so it's not going to break or leak, and you can use it over and over. We love using this and this is actually our go-to lube on the go (and in the bedroom) as well.
