Michelle Visage is Morticia Addams!
We love our Drag Race Diva Michelle Visage. Michelle has been part of the Drag Race family since Season 3 and has helped contribute to making the show what it is today. Besides holding her own alongside bestie RuPaul comedically, she has brought the LEWKS that often rival what we see on the runway. Her sense of fashion, chameleon looks, tough love, and her self-confidence have put her on the fast track to icon status.
She is completely devoted to the Drag Race franchise and continues to pop up in just about every iteration there is. We love her one-liners as a judge, but we also love when she steps in to help direct a skit. With all of her time spent on the show, we sometimes forget that she has her own lucrative and long career outside of the Drag Race world, and honey, she is stepping out! This February, she will follow in the footsteps of greats like Carolyn Jones, Anjelica Huston, Charlize Theron, and Catherine Zeta-Jones by donning the tight black dress and long locks to play Morticia Addams in a limited run of the musical version of The Addams at the London Palladium. She's already put her mark on the character by changing it up by adding streaks of her signature grey. Gurllll...she is looking ON POINT!
Michelle Visage is no stranger to the London stage, having appeared in the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and England's dance competition show Strictly Come Dancing, coincidentally dancing to the "Addams Family Theme." Singing has always been a part of Visage's career, she was a member of the musical group Seduction, charting five singles on the Billboard Hot 100. She later was the lead vocalist of The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M., who reached the top of the dance charts with the single "It's Gonna Be a Lovely Day."
If her casting as Morticia wasn't hot enough, she will be joined by musical theatre hottie Ramin Karimloo as Gomez. If you don't know Ramin, you need to. He's appeared on both West End and Broadway stages and has played leads in The Phantom of the Opera, Funny Girl, and Les Miserables, just to name a few. He's quite talented and extremely handsome. He's also well known for his super-fit body and bulging muscles. What a perfect pair.
Check out his muscles:
We can't even imagine what kind of chemistry these two will have.
Addams Family runs February 12 and 13 at the London Palladium. Let's just hope they bring it to the US! Do you think Mama Ru will be in the audience?
