Ranking The Real Housewives Newbies

Every year a select group of women enter the pantheon of pop culture as the latest to enter Bravo sorority known as The Real Housewives. Whether it's Potomac, Beverly Hills, or Salt Lake, fans have seen the impact a freshman Housewife can have on her franchise. But it's hard work. The old guard doesn't always accept newbies and the fans are known to be brutal. Below, we rank The Real Housewives newbies from the past year.

8. Annemarie Wiley, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Annemarie Wiley is a certified registered nurse anesthetist, which means she provides pain relief for patients during surgery, and that makes sense 'cause she's been putting us to sleep all season. She may have lied about being a doctor, she's come for Sutton, and apparently, Kim and Denise Richards have received more screen time than her, and neither is officially on the show this year. One meme said Sutton's horse actually had more screen time, but I'll need a Bravo confirmation on that. She's married to former NFL player Marcellus Wiley, and many people think his recent allegations are why Annmarie is being edited down so much on the current season.

7. Rachel Fuda, Real Housewives of New Jersey

Rachel Fuda is one of two newbies from Jersey and she was cute and sweet, if not a little unmemorable. Like I don't remember a single big moment she had this season other than fighting with Teresa and Luis at the reunion. She's coming back for the next season so let's see what she brings.

6. Jennifer Pedranti, Real Housewives of Orange County

Isn't everyone kind of a flop on Real Housewives of Orange County, TBH? This yoga studio owner and mom of five was super harmless. She's fun and cute, she fought with Tamra, who brought her on the show. The best part of her is the messy relationship with her boyfriend, Ryan. The two met at Tamra's gym while married, started an affair, he then cheated on her, she took him back, and now they brought it all to the Housewives.

5. Nneka Ihim, Real Housewives of Potomac

Nneka is supposed to be the new It Girl in Potomac, but I haven't seen it yet. She is a successful lawyer, she's cute, she serves fashion, and her main story is about starting a family. Well, that's her main story that doesn't involve her Nigerian foe Dr. Wendy, Dr. Wendy's mom, and an alleged shrine. She gave Dr. Wendy the thumbs down this week, but our thumb is still hovering in the middle when it comes to Ms. Nneka.

4. Angie Katsanevas, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Former friend-of Angie K started her first season as a full-time housewife as such a HUGE flop, but she (and the editors) were able to turn it around. Maybe it was the rumors and nastiness about her alleged gay husband, her family being a part of the Greek mafia, the leopard confessional lewk, or those ridiculous sunglasses she wore all season, but somehow she earned a snowflake and our hearts.

3. Danielle Cabral, Real Housewives of New Jersey

This big loud girl from Staten Island is probably the future of RHONJ. She's so over the top, she's got everything that makes a legendary housewife. Though rumors are she's going to be demoted next season to friend-of after an explosive physical fight with co-star Jennifer.

2. Brynn Whitfield, Jessel Taank, & The Real Housewives of New York City

Bravo did the ultimate change up for its long-running series The Real Housewives of New York City, completely firing the original cast and getting a whole new group of gals that better reflect the city of New York and its inhabitants. The season was a success, though fans didn't warm to all the women (sorry Erin and Sai). We love getting to know Ubah, Jenna Lyons was cool but she was over it halfway through filming, and the standouts and true stars of the new season were Brynn Whitfield and Jessel Taank. Both those girls will anchor this new franchise for years to come.

1. Monica (Fowler) Garcia, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

No one did more for their franchise than Monica Garcia (also Fowler, depending). This single mom owned up to sleeping with her brother-in-law, turned evidence on her former friend and employer, fighting with her own messy mom, and then the biggest reveal, that Monica was running an Instagram troll account that would bully the Housewives on the show. She's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment. It would be nearly impossible for her to come back and film with the women next season, but stranger things have happened.

*The Real Housewives of Miami and Atlanta didn't have any new cast members this year!
