Where Are They Now: Jason Collins Chats Career, YouTube, and Fan Sites!

What is the latest with Jason Collins?

I just finished up my latest semester in grad school. I’m currently working on my MBA and have one year left before I graduate. I’m looking forward to winter break and finally going on my honeymoon to Cancun in January. I got married on November 25^th. Other than that, just working on my adult content, YouTube channel, the gym, and living a nice quiet life.

Please tell us all about your rapidly growing YouTube channel.

I started my YouTube channel years ago as a self-help and motivational channel and it grew slowly. I’ve always been super passionate about helping people and making a positive impact in the world. After a couple of years, I started my Porn Star Confessions and Redemption series as well as having guest spots for more specific topics. My channel switched from monologues to interviews and it blew up. My YouTube channel is the thing that I am the most passionate about by far. I love being able to humanize other pornstars and discussing things that others are afraid to.

How did you conceive this project?

I was single at the time and on dating apps and not having great experiences. I’ve always been upfront about what I do for a living with everyone. But, as a pornstar, generally, people will either view you as an amusement park ride or it’s a deal killer when it comes to dating. When people hear pornstar they generally think you must be a drug addict, alcoholic, come from a broken home, or are a train wreck. I don’t blame them for making those assumptions, we all make assumptions daily. However, it does get old after a while. I remember working out at the gym and had just been rejected on the apps over and over due to my job and it hit me like a ton of bricks to start my Porn Star Confessions series. I wanted to show the world what I experience all the time, that pornstars are just like everyone else and that the stereotypes are generally untrue.

Do you have any kind of format or method you follow for your interviews? Please share.

I don’t follow any format or outline at all, absolutely no part of the interview is scripted, and I believe that authenticity and spontaneity are what sets my interviews apart from others. I only ask my guests if anything is off-limits and if there is anything that they are super passionate about that they’d like to discuss before starting the interview. I do try my best to find people that are interesting and have a good story to tell.

Who have been some of your most interesting guests? Why?

There are far too many to list. However, I love that so many of the people that I’ve interviewed come from professional backgrounds such as attorneys, doctors, NASA engineers, teachers, and businessmen. Some of my interviews are more serious and some are absolutely hysterical.

Who are some people you would still like to interview?

Jenna Jameson, Rocco Siffredi, Lexington Steele, Colby Jansen, Rhyheim Shabazz, Cade Maddox, Angela White, Malik Delgaty, Lisa Ann, Riley Reid, Lana Rhoades, Elsa Jean, Dan Benson, Reno, Gold, Tyler Wu, Jake Andrich, Joey Mills, CJ Miles, and so many more that I’d be writing for hours to list them all!

Are you still doing porn work? What is the latest with that?

Yes, I still release new partnered videos every Friday morning on all of my fan sites. I try to do a couple of studio shoots a year but since I covered my entire body in tattoos that is becoming more and more difficult. I’ve found that most studios don’t like too many tattoos. As far as my content goes, I am by far the most inclusive performer in the industry. I shoot with every race, body type, age, ass/dick size, gender, etc. I shoot genuine sensual lovemaking with real intimacy and real people.

Could you share with us your background in the adult industry?

My ex got me into escorting a long time ago. One day Jessy Dubai saw my profile and approached me about shooting with her. She had originally offered to pay me for the shoot but halfway through I asked her to show me how to do what she does and keep the money. She agreed and the rest is history. I will always be grateful to her for the opportunity and I’m very thankful that I took the path that I did.

You've been outspoken about preferring to do almost all your own content. Could you explain why? Will you ever do studio work again?

I despise traveling; I can barely tolerate it to go somewhere tropical for vacation. Unfortunately, there are no studios in Denver, so studio shoots always require traveling. I’ve also gotten to a point where I make more money off of my own content than studios will pay. I’d still like to do a couple of studio shoots a year just to stay relevant but that’s it. One of the other reasons that I stepped away from studio porn was because I was getting typecast into these extremely abusive and sadistic roles which is the opposite of my personality.

What are your thoughts on the new and huge popularity of the "Muscle Daddy" in porn? How do you fit into it?

I’m very happy that the muscle daddy thing happens to be in right now since I fall into that category. However, I have seen people of every look become successful in this industry which is amazing! I remember when I was younger it was all about youth and the twinks. Also, it’s worth noting that I am a real-life daddy, I have a 21-year-old son.

Could you share with us about Jason outside of the industry? Interests? Hobbies? etc.

Honestly, I’m pretty introverted. I have a very close circle of friends and keep to myself for the most part. By a lot of standards, I live a very “boring” life, but I love it. I love going to the gym, riding my Harley’s, watching a show or movie with my family or friends, watching football, and staying home. I don’t go out at all except for dinner or to events like the Renaissance Festival or Water World during the summer. I also have two pet pigs, three dogs, and two cats so they require a lot of attention.

What are some of your plans, both in the adult industry and beyond?

I want to continue to build and grow my YouTube channel since it is the thing that I am most passionate about. I’m going to continue in school until I finish my MBA next year. I’d also love to open my gym. I don’t plan on leaving porn in the foreseeable future. As far as porn goes, I want to continue to showcase lovemaking and the idea that anyone can be sexy. Beyond that, I just want to live a nice quiet life with my family and make a positive impact where I can.
