Pornhub’s Gay 2023 Year in Review: Steamy Statistics at a Glance

It's the fun time of year when we get to find out what you horny guys were watching all year long at Pornhub. This year marks the 10th anniversary that Pornhub has released their statistics for all to see. The data is compiled by the Pornhub team from billions of hits.

Most Searched for Gay Terms:

It's the year of the twink with that category moving to #1! Other rises in popularity went to anime, femboy and curious straight friends. Asian categories were also on the rise this year. We were surprised that big dick was so low on the list.

Most Viewed Gay Categories:

Apparently we are all still obsessed with straight guys. Straight guys and Black remained at #1 and #2, respectively, from last year. Again, twinks were on the rise, with group going down a few notches. No changes for daddy, interracial, big dick, and public from last year.

Most Searched Performers:

Hottie Malik Delgaty lead the list this year, with a close second for Joey Mills. 3rd place was also a tight race with Cade Maddox barely leading Jake Andrich Jakpiz. Have you seen Jake's stuff? HOTTTTTT!

Women are watching our gays as well!

Little pocket gay Armond Rizzo swept the board as +410% likely to be searched for by women, with Devin Trez and Dante Colle following. Tyler Wu, Adam Russo, and Josh Moore also made the top searched by women list.

When it came to visitor demographics, the average age of Pornhub visitors was 37 years old, which has remained the same for the past couple years. Our statisticians then broke the generations down for further information.

The average age of Pornhub users was 37 years old with most viewers being between the ages of 18 and 34 (making up over half the entire viewership).

Devices Used:

Understandably, most people view porn on their smartphones...remember that next time you pick up your friend's phone by accident. 91.3% of all traffic comes from mobile devices. Desktop went down –46% and tablet traffic decreased –43%, probably because everyone is back at work in the office and not remote. Android OS leads Apple phones in terms of use, and Windows leads Macs for desktop.

Movie Parodies:

Love your parodies? Overall, Star Wars lead the search group, with Game of Thrones and Avatar making a presence. Characters like Batman, Spiderman, Deadpool, and Superman were the usual suspects.

Holiday Traffic:

The biggest decrease in traffic in the US happens on Thanksgiving. Everyone is probably with family, turkey napping, or stuck sharing a room while visiting family.
