In our new series, Before They Were Porn Stars, we talk to the adult industry's hottest stars about their rich lives outside of gay porn. What is the latest with Adam Snow?

It’s the “off-season” here at the beach, so I’m working on renovations and remodels currently.

You have recently shared what an extensive life and career you had before pornography. Please share some of your previous jobs!

I’ve lived a full life, and I’ve worked a lot of jobs. I’ve worked fast food, grocery store, guttering and siding, plane captain, industrial coatings, database administrator, stripper, administrative assistant, interior design, house painting, personal trainer, construction, etc. I’ve always had a job doing something — lol.

Could you tell us about your time in the military service?

I was working as a stripper, living in Key West and my great-uncle talked me into joining the military. I went into the Navy and was stationed in VA Beach, Virginia. I was in Operation Iraq Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I was on the aircraft carrier the USS George Washington and did the Mediterranean cruise. I was in way over my head; I had only experienced the freedom of being able to be gay and free for a few months before I joined the Navy. I was thrown right back into the lifestyle I was trying to get away from. I had to hide who I was again, couldn’t be out, had to conform to the military standards and way of life. It was not what I wanted to do, although I enjoyed my time when I could. I got to go out and explore in Dubai, Rome, Bahrain, and Greece.

Could you share with us about your contracting business? What kinds of homes and buildings do you do? 

I’m a general contractor now. I mostly work on beach vacation homes in the Rehoboth area. I do remodels and renovations. Kitchens and bathrooms are the most common. I also do custom outdoor showers and decks. I have some excellent clients who allow me to be creative and build out some pretty cool spaces.

Could you share with us about your flying career?

Haha! It was never a career, it was a hobby. I just wanted to learn how to fly. At one point, I was considering buying a small plane. That was when I lived in Knoxville TN. I lived close to the downtown small airport and flew a Cessna 175 & 185 a few times a week. It was a lot of fun. My favorite is to fly when it’s a little cloudy out and get above the clouds so you can’t see the landscape anymore and all you see is sky and clouds. It’s really beautiful.

Have you continued any of these after launching your porn career? 

I haven’t flown in a few years, so I’d have to go through a recertification process if I were to pick it back up. As far as contracting goes, I’m still doing that every day when I’m not traveling.

How has it been balancing multiple careers? How have you managed?

When I first started contracting, I was taking on anyone and everyone no matter how small the job was. But nowadays, I have scaled it back significantly. I only have a handful of clients now and they keep me busy all year around. I’m not home much anymore — I’m always traveling and filming when I can. So when I am home, I’m working nonstop. It’s still a work in progress as far as managing construction vs filming, but it’s getting better.

What are some of the future plans for Adam Snow? The porn star and the businessman?

I'm hoping to win some awards and get to know more of these beautiful, sexy men in the industry. There are so many amazing guys I wanna meet and film with. I’m hoping to break into the European market soon and explore South America as well.
