Ah, life as a homosexual at the end of civilization. We party, we dance, we sex app, we Drag Race and Housewives, and we fall in and out of love in a matter of moments. Some relationships don't last the 24-hours your Instagram story stays live, others last a lifetime. Let's take a look now at two celebrity couples, one heading toward the altar and one divorcing only months after tying the knot.
Brian Sims & Alex Drakos

A mazel tov is in order for Former Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Sims and his fiance Alex Drakos, who recently got engaged on a picturesque beach vacation in Hong Kong.
“Tonight on the beach I asked Alex if he’d be my husband and he said yes! Our friends have been in on it awhile now and a few weeks ago I asked his parents before I flew out to Hong Kong if I had their permission. Luckily, just like my parents, they were excited and supportive. I’m so stupidly grateful to have this amazing man in my life and now it’ll be forever. #LoveStory”

The 45-year-old football hunk turned civil rights attorney turned Pennsylvania lawmaker turned international LGBTQ+ advocate and his partner have been together since 2021. Sims made history in 2013 when he became the first out gay person elected to office in Pennsylvania history. Congrats to the happy couple and we can't wait to see the wedding (and honeymoon!) pics!

Sadly gay celebrity love did not last forever, or even a calendar year, for White Lotus breakout Lukas Gage and Kim K's long-time hairstylist Chris Appleton. The couple, who married just three months after meeting, announced they were divorcing after about six months of marriage. Appleton filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” the day after their wedding episode aired on the latest episode of The Kardashians on Hulu. Legit, the day after it aired. We love a messy gay!
The couple married in Vegas with Appleton’s longtime friend and colleague Kim Kardashian serving as the officiant. There were fur coats, private jets, and even a surprise performance by Shania Twain.
All this to say, Lukas Gage is single and I call dibs. Also, how can you be so sure you have “irreconcilable differences” after only six months?! I want all the details.
