Fleshbot On the Road: Johnny Moon is Going Stag in Portland!

We stan Johnny Moon. When we talked to him last, he was just premiering on Season 2 of Go-Go for the Gold, OutTV's go-go boy version of Drag Race. Gurrrllll….he was amazing on the show. Besides his reality TV and porn career, he pops up around the nation with appearances. Did you know he also works at a strip club in Portland, Oregon called Stag? We caught up with Johnny to chat about life after Go-Go for the Gold:

What is the LGBTQ culture like in Portland?

It’s very grunge. It’s completely different than anywhere else in the States for sure. We are not afraid to get dirty and make our own space.

How did you come to work at Stag?

I walked in over 5 years ago and was basically offered the job on the spot. I sort of “auditioned” and immediately killed it on the pole, and I haven’t looked back since.

What do you love most about working there?

I love meeting people just in general and that’s what the job is all about. I also do some hosting/emcee for some nights. I’m also hilarious so I get to joke and make fun of people. And like who doesn’t wanna get paid to joke with everyone all night?

Do you have a crazy stripper story?

I was once on stage and this customer attempted to grab my cock, with no tip. I saw it coming and snatched his wrist before he could. He made a scene and security was taking him out. As he was being taken out, he chucked his glass at me. I luckily dodged it, but it unfortunately hit a dancer that was behind me. It hit his head really hard and then shattered everywhere on the floor. But let’s just say I think the customer learned his lesson from security.

You literally pop up all over the place…do you ever sleep? LOL

Honestly, once I get going, I don’t want to stop. So I sleep very little. It’s a blessing and a curse. I feel that I could personally beat the energizer bunny in a race if I wanted to.

With so many aspects of your career going in different directions, how do you know what to focus on next?

That’s actually the hardest part of my jobs. I do everything basically independently, unlike many others involved in this industry, so I still struggle with my focus all the time. I have an infinite arsenal of talent so I want to use it all.

What did you learn the most about yourself from doing Go-Go for the Gold?

That I can make my way into anything and still be the center of attention if I choose to be. Basically, no gig scares me now, which is awesome.

Have you ever thought that your porn career might affect your more mainstream career?

Yes! I have had people tell me all of the time that I can’t have more mainstream success with porn, and now I’m bigger than all of those people. I’m definitely a person who if someone says I can’t find success I’m going to prove them so wrong.

Have you always been an exhibitionist?

Growing up, I didn’t think anything about me was cool or good-looking. So when I finally got out on my own I was like wait, being shy is stupid. It also helped that being on my own I actually started to receive compliments from people which I had never got before.

What does love and dating look like for you?

I find that there’s a very small amount of people that can handle who I am and what I do. So it’s very dry, to be honest. Now more than ever I just don’t find dating appealing.

Have you ever dated a fan?

No. There is almost a guarantee that they don’t like one aspect of my life and I’m not going to change my life around for some fan coochie or cock. You need to meet me on my level, not the other way around.

The last time we chatted with you, you were just starting to appear on Go-Go for the Gold. Now what are you most excited about coming up?

I believe I’m going to start a little entertainer family. The House of Moon is just beginning, and I already know it’s going to be the next big thing. I'm going to include entertainers from across all different styles and types.

You continue to thrill us with your porn career. What do you love most about being in the industry?

Recently, I’ve had several messages from fans thanking me. They’re thanking me for making them want to try bottoming or get more into a certain kink. I just think that’s so cute being a little inspirational slut.

How do you maintain your mental health with everything going on?

I have to take frequent breaks. If you’re in the position I’m in and you don’t take time to decompress, you will burn out so extremely quickly.

What is your message to your fans?

I honestly just love saying thanks. Supporting art and careers like mine is almost all fan-supported. So when I say thank you to someone who shows love, I really do mean it from the bottom of my heart. It doesn’t matter if it’s a dollar, thousands of dollars, or simply a keep-going message. It really means the world to me.
