Hello girls, gays and they’s! It is time for an all-new episode of my podcast Hey Gurl! With Jordan Jayro! This week we’re going international! My special guest on this episode is none other than Xtacy Love from Canada! Xtacy is a fierce performer and pageant winner, and we talked about it all! We met during DragCon this year when she was working with Priyanka, who happens to be her drag daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Xtacy and knew I had to have her on the pod. It’s such a fierce episode!

Toward the beginning of the episode, I noticed that Xtacy was wearing the cutest Barbie sublimated tee shirt. That prompted a discussion about the movie and all the marketing that went into it. Xtacy told me the shirt she was wearing was a collab between Barbie and her friend who makes licensed clothing! How cool! We chatted a bit about Margot Robbie now being the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, and Xtacy told me about a Barbie event she got to go to. I remember seeing her post about it on Instagram and it looked so cute! Xtacy was there with a bunch of other Canadian divas and so were some cast members from the movie.

I asked Xtacy about starting drag and where it all began. Xtacy told me about first performing in Pantomime shows growing up and brought up how they’re the kinds of shows that use gender as a joke, which is not funny. But that led to nightlife and discovering drag, and then eventually pageantry. I am so intrigued by hearing different peoples’ experiences with pageantry, so getting to hear all about Xtacy’s pageantry career was so insightful. We discussed the different systems and the importance of finding the right system for you. Then we realized that we’d both be in Chicago for this year’s Continental Pageant! By the time you hear this, it already happened and we had a great time!

We did get on the subject of Beyoncé and her Renaissance Tour. Xtacy wasn’t able to see the concert because of a scheduling conflict but had seen most of it online. Same here though! I’ve been excitedly watching all the clips and seeing all the outfits Beyoncé has been wearing. She literally has a new set of outfits for every show! And now for the last few shows she is requesting the audience to wear silver. So I am awaiting my shipment from Shein! Xtacy and I talked about our favorite pop divas like Britney, Gaga, and even the Spice Girls.
