Hey gurl! It is once again a new week at Hey Gurl Incorporated! And with that comes a brand new episode of the internationally tolerated podcast Hey Gurl! With Jordan Jayro (that’s me)! This week my guest is the fabulous and hilarious Poutine Levine!! Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Poutine is named after a legendary Canadian dish. Poutine is pretty much French fries covered in gravy and cheese curds. It’s delicious. While doing research to prepare for this podcast, I did get sidetracked by pictures of poutine on Google. Hot take: food porn is the best porn.
Poutine told me they had just gone to Vegas for a gay bachelor celebration! While there, they got to see Drag Race Live and Katy Perry! I admitted that the only way I can be in Vegas is if I’m there to see shows and go shopping. I am not into nightlife so much, so I need to have things to do! Poutine told me that Drag Race Live was amazing despite feeling a little overwhelmed by the amount of Drag Race seasons there are lately. I had to hear about the Katy Perry experience though, because Poutine did post a selfie with Ms. Perry on Instagram. Listen to the full episode to hear the entire story behind how that picture happened!
We talked a little bit about Delta Work and the podcast Very Delta. If you listen to my podcast, I’m sure you know about Very Delta. Poutine’s drag mother is the iconic queen 6. And recently filmed an episode of Very Delta, so Poutine went to MOM HQ and got to be there for the filming of the episode! That’s so iconic! I talked about how much I love Delta’s rant about summertime and the white plastic chairs. She talked about always not wanting to sit in them out of fear that the chair would break. Poutine told a really great story about falling out of a chair, and it was truly iconic.
There is truly no way I could do an episode with Poutine and not talk about The Real Housewives! We have bonded online over our love of the Housewives, so I had a list of Housewives topics I needed to address. We talked about the new season of New York and the Catch drama (spoiler alert: the Housewives were making fun of a New York restaurant and they were bleeping the name but we all know it was Catch). We talked about what is arguably the worst season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Poutine even went over what their Real Housewives tagline would be.
I thoroughly enjoyed my chat with Ms. Poutine Levine! Enjoy this episode! And don’t forget to rate the podcast 5 stars and write a really nice review!! Lie if you have to!
