DIGGING DEEPER WITH DILLON DIAZ: Filming Porn Step by Step
What’s it like to film a porn?
You think you know, but do you? Do you really? I know so many people who have these grand illusions about the porn industry being all sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. And it can certainly be that for some but for me it looks a little more like this:
Step by Step
1. You Get Booked! Whether you go looking for the job or the job comes looking for you, it starts with the booking.
2. Testing: Once you know the date of the shoot you can schedule your STI test. Preferably within 24 to 48 hours of the shoot.
3. Study Your Script (if there is one): Know what is expected of you before you show up. Don’t wait until the day of the shoot to start familiarizing yourself with your lines. This is a major pet peeve of mine. It drives me insane when I’ve studied my script and I’m ready to go, but my scene partner hasn’t.
4. Travel: If you live where you are shooting then it just may be a car ride to work. Otherwise, you may have to fly in and book a hotel room. The studio you are working for will most likely cover that, otherwise, you are responsible for that. Charge accordingly!
5. The Night Before: Plan on getting a good night's rest and doing any grooming that you would like to have done. Also, think about what you’re eating and avoid food that causes you bloating or digestive issues. Many bottoms will limit what they eat and use an anti-diarrheal to make the morning cleanse easier.
6. The Morning Of: Get up early and make sure you budget enough time for your getting ready process and travel to the location. If you are bottoming start, clean yourself out at home and just do touch-ups at work. If you wait until you get to work to start cleaning out, you are a nasty hoe who has no respect for your scene partner or crew. Period.
7. Paperwork: Once you arrive one of the first things that will happen is that you will be bombarded with paperwork. It needs to be done. Also, have two forms of ID with you. No, library cards are not valid.
8. Before Foreplay: You should have time to chat with your scene partner and get mentally ready for the day ahead of you. Now would be a good time to run through your lines together if you have any and feel up each other's asses.
9. Photos: Usually before you begin shooting, a photographer will take some photos of you in your wardrobe and out of it. Feel up your scene partner's ass again.
10. Rehearsal and Blocking: The director and camera operator will work with you to figure out where you will enter from and how the scene will progress up to sex. This part is my favorite but most of the audience will just fast-forward through this part to get to the fornication.
11. The real deal: Now that you know what you’re doing, you do it for the camera. They will film the intro up until sex. Then you will most likely break to do what we call “sex prep.” Basically, it’s time to do any last-minute freshening up and make sure your body is ready for action.
12. Action! You guys know what happens now…This is the part that everyone is familiar with.
13. After: After the cum shot, it’s time to clean up, get paid, and go home. Don’t feel up your scene partner's ass anymore, they are tired of you.
My personal routine includes putting on some good music for the ride home and possibly stopping for a treat on the way. Doritos usually do the trick but if it was a particularly stressful day, I may have to upgrade to Hostess Zingers, the chocolate ones. Once I get home, I strip out of my clothes, hug and kiss my husband, then sit on the sofa to catch up on whatever we’ve been binge-watching.
Till next time, stay sexy!
