Hey gurl! A brand new episode of my podcast Hey Gurl! With Jordan Jayro just dropped! This week, my extra special guest is Eric Williams! Eric is an actor and comedian. He hosts the podcast That’s A Gay Ass Podcast, which is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to! In this episode, we talked about so much! I complained about people breaking out in song! We talked about musical theatre, The Real Housewives, the Lizzo scandal, Sister Act, and so much more! I’ve been a fan of Eric’s for a really long time, so I could not believe it when he said yes to doing this!

A lot of people don’t know this, but Eric played Buddy the Elf in the national tour of Elf The Musical! I was having the best time googling pictures of him dressed up as an elf. Eric looked so cute in the costume! And the wig! It was a lovely lace front! Eric talked a bit about his experience on that tour, and a lot about his life after the tour. He shared that he was on the tour when he was dating his now-husband Matt. Eric told me that Matt would come to visit him on tour! How sweet is that!?

I had to ask Eric about That’s A Gay Ass Podcast! It’s a really hilarious podcast where he interviews mostly queer people, in search of the answer to the question, “Who’s fault is it that you’re gay?” We’ve even had some of the same guests on both of our podcasts. He also hosts That’s A Gay Ass Live Show, which is (you guessed it) the live version of his podcast, recorded in front of an audience. There’s standup, music, games, performances, and more! This episode was so much fun! Eric was so easy to talk to, and I almost forgot how nervous I was to chat with him! I did embarrassingly share the story of the time I saw him at the Hollywood Bourbon Room the night of the Drag: The Musical workshop. So what had happened was, after the show we all had to clear the room because they needed to remove the seats and start the after-party (featuring DJ Trixie Mattel). While we were waiting outside, I saw Eric from a distance and told myself I would go say hi once the room opened up. I ended up losing him and not meeting him officially until this recording!
