Ask Chad: Eating Right, Drinking Wrong, And Extra AF

ASK CHAD WEEKLY

Ask Chad Logo

Good morning, bitches. It's Leo SZN, and so I will be acting an absolute MESS, and you can't stop me! This week we're going to be helping a gay eat right, a gay who is drinking wrong, and figuring out how to handle that coworker who is extra af!

This week, your questions got me feeling all types of way. Keep 'em coming! As my Sniffies profile says, Nothing is off limits: [email protected]

Dear Chad,

I have a regular workout schedule and go usually 5 days a week. However, where I fault is that I love to eat fast, fried, and sugary foods. I can't just eat a few chips, it turns into the whole bag. And dinner is usually whatever I can pick up on the way home. I am really trying to get fit but can't seem to turn away from the bad stuff! What should I do?

Sincerely,

Trying

Hey Trying,

Listen, it's hard, girl. But let's get two things straight, I am not a dietician and there is no such thing as "bad" foods! If you have a hard time not stopping at the drive-through, then take a different route, to the grocery store! Go in and buy fresh chicken/beef/turkey, some frozen or fresh veggies, and some instant rice. Bam! You have an easy, healthier meal that won't take too much skill to make. Go crazy with seasonings, you know you better make that $hit taste good! Don't over-complicate something that's easier and healthier. You've got this!

Dear Chad,

Every time I go to the bar I can't seem to control my drinking. I always end up wayyyyy too drunk and then act messy in front of my friends. It's gotten so bad that they're starting to not want to hang out with me anymore. I've tried to limit my drinks but then people wanna do shots, order more, and I just can't say no! How do I limit myself effectively?

Sincerely,

MESSI

———————

Hey MESSI,

Maybe the bar isn't the place for you right now. Sometimes our lack of control is a sign that we're using whatever that vice is as a crutch for another issue. Either find out what is causing you to try to get gone so fast, or start saying no to the bar. You can say no to the next round, and if you wanted to then you would've. But if you genuinely can't, then take a break. Try to find a sober support group and work out some problems there. Alcoholism is NEVER cute and quirky. Hope this helps!

———————

Hey Chad,

So there's this other gay at work and I am so sick of him. He's always acting like a stereotype: loud, femme, annoying, over the top and desperate for everyone to pay attention to him. How do I tell him, gay to gay that he should tone it down? I don't want to be a bitch but I am fed up myself.

Sincerely,

OverIt

———————

Hey girl,

It's not your place nor your job to tell others how to act! If you're the manager and your subordinate is acting, speaking, or behaving inappropriately then you should discipline them accordingly. But don't ever try to tell someone they're too much or too gay. We as gay people have endured enough "toning down" from outside the LGBT, and we don't need more of it. Let them be who they are and they'll figure out how to fit in on their own.

Got a question for me? Nothing is off-limits! Email me: [email protected]. Until next time!
