Hi there! Welcome back to another fierce edition of Drag Queen Spotlight! Each week, I’m bringing you the best of the best drag talent that you need to know about! This week, we’re getting up close and personal with the fabulous Roger Roger from Los Angeles! Roger Roger is a drag queen, seamstress, and supermodel! In her own words, she is designed for beauty, programmed for chaos. This is something I relate to immensely! We met over DragCon weekend when we both competed in a pageant together. And guess what? How did you get your drag name?

It's a Star Wars reference. I got the idea when I was a little zooted and I brought it up to my roommate and we couldn't stop laughing so it became my drag name!

How long have you been doing drag?

2-ish years.

When is your birthday? How old are you?

December 17, Sagggg bb, and I'm 24.

Relationship status?

Single and looking for a stage husband.

What was your first time in drag like?

Not as busted as a lot of people's first time, but certainly not cute either—oop.

What made you want to start doing drag?

Drag Race and ADHD.

Who inspires your drag (celebrities, other queens, etc.)?

MOTHA Lady Gaga, Bowie, Star Wars obvi, and Raja (the original Roger).

Favorite song/artist to lip sync to?

“You Spin Me Round” by Dead Or Alive (Pete Burns) and anything by Lady Gaga.

Have you ever hooked up in drag?

Technically no, but I'm a little gender-fluid so it's a very blurred line.

What’s your favorite thing about drag?

Dressing up fabulous and getting to do any and everything I want to.

What are your hobbies outside of drag?

Sewing/designing, hiking, video games, dancing.

My meaty tuck.

Biggest pet peeve about working with other drag queens?

Messiness and drinking.

Biggest pet peeve about audiences in nightclubs?

When they have no energy.

Any advice for someone wanting to start doing drag?

Master the basics and get really good at doing your signature thing.
