Next Door Studios is dripping with talent. The ambitious team behind the camera has a vision that delivers some of the freshest, sleekest, and sexiest content the industry has to offer. Today, I'd like to introduce you to the man behind Next Door Studios' sexy project, Dorm Life: The Injured Jock. Let's all give it up for writer/director/bonafide babe Conrad Parker. This dude is so hot he makes steam look cool. But enough objectification, let's hear about his other talents, shall we?
How did you find yourself as part of the Next Door Studios team?
At the time, I was working for a tech company when I got a call from the owner of Next Door Studios. He called to invite me on to one of their sets to see how I vibe with the company. I had previous experience directing with a competitor and had just taken a step back from the industry. To be honest, I didn’t think I’d be interested in directing again. That all changed when I walked onto my first Next Door Studios set. I was greeted with some amazing talent (crew and models). Needless to say, I took the opportunity.
You just finished shooting Next Door Twink’s, “Dorm Life: The Injured Jock” which you also wrote. Are you writing from any experience taken from your own life?
I’m glad you asked that question. I was fortunate enough to live on campus in college. With that experience came a lot of interesting situations, for fellow dorm mates and myself. While this specific episode does have some personal influence it also has a “fantasy” ending that did not happen (unfortunately). I find that writing scripts with my own experiences is fun because you really get to make authentic fantasies come to life.
You worked with great talent on this project. What did Grant Ducati & Ryder Owens bring to the project that took it to the Next (Door) level?
I like what you did there. With talent like Grant and Ryder the possibilities of a great scene are pretty much expected. Grant really knows how to get into character while acting and challenges his co-stars to match him. Ryder equally talented took that challenge to the next level.
A gossip queen told me that this will be the first of a Dorm Life series. Where do you see the project going in its future installments?
Haha, That's right! I have just completed my second installment of the series last week. For me, this series is important for a couple of reasons. I have always been outspoken about using the platform we have in the industry to educate. First, I hope that these scenes will help normalize the gay or curious interactions that happen while living on campus. Second, I hope this will allow me to start other series that will further educational situations within our community. As I said, using this platform is really important to me.
For those out there who have yet to see your XXX Twitter account, what type of content do you like to make when it's your turn in front of the camera?
While I have been directing for more than 10 years, creating my own content has been something a little more new to me. I randomly decided to post a couple of pictures on Twitter (of myself) and they gained traction. It was really empowering. In my own personal posts, I enjoy amateur-style content. Less contrived and more authentic. TBH, I’d be a horrible actor so I keep it simple. Haha.
What direction do you see NDS heading in?
The sky is the limit. With Executive Producer, Jeremy Babcock at the helm we are really seeing big changes. He doesn’t allow the company to get complacent. There is a creative genius inside him and a hunger to further our content. This is matched equally with such an amazing team of directors, camera operators, lighting crew, production assistants, and pre and post-production crew. I believe the future will hold much longer, film-style content to engage the viewers and maximize the talents acting & performance capabilities.
What is next for you, Conrad Parker?
I am so fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing people. At this moment, I would love to continue to grow our team and really strive to keep being the most competitive in the industry. I mentioned it before, but I really care a lot about having this platform not only to make the hottest porn out there but also to educate viewers on as many topics that we can within our community.
