Ricky Roman Talks Leather and Lace Party, His Porn Journey, & His Favorite Kinks

The Leather & Lace party in Akron, Ohio is set to kick off on July 15th, and we have special guest (and everyone's award-winning porn crush) Ricky Roman here to talk about the event and more! He is a super sexy porn star with a lot of incredible work under his belt, no pun intended! I've asked him questions about everything from the event, to his taste in music, to his taste in kinks as well. Enough with the introduction, I'll let him tell you the rest!

What are you most excited for at the Leather & Lace event?

I’m just excited to be a part of it. I love working with Dean and Audrey, they are both consummate professionals and I’m grateful to be along for the ride, they always turn the party.

What are your favorite kinks and why?

I personally am into some light bondage via ropes or handcuffs. There’s something about relinquishing that power and therein solidifying and growing in a very strong trust.

How did you get into the adult entertainment industry?

When I was 19, it had been heavy on my mind already; one day I was sitting at home and I flipped a coin. Heads I would apply to my favorite studio CockyBoys, tails I would forget about it. The coin landed on heads. I applied and received a call later that day. That was almost 12 years ago.

What is your favorite part about doing porn?

My favorite thing about doing porn is the expression through sexual liberation. Sex is an art and my body is my tool. I get off on performing for people.

You've got quite the catalog, which scene was your favorite to film?

Thank you! I do have quite a few under my belt. One of my favorites that comes to mind would be from the “Just Love” series where I was paired with Boomer Banks. Another would be my scene with Josh Moore…we had really amazing chemistry.

What songs and artists have you been listening to lately?

I struggle to keep up with new music honestly. In my mind, it’s still 2006. I really do enjoy a myriad of genres but, on the regular, I’m listening to the earlier works of Beyoncé, Britney, Mariah etc. It’s no secret I’m very into Gaga.

You've amassed over 130k on Twitter and over 120k on IG, what's it like having that many eyes on you?

It’s been an interesting ascent so to speak. With more exposure comes more work/collaborations. Doing what I have been doing for so long, I truly have come to appreciate the agency of privacy. With that said, I’m grateful to anyone and everyone who has kept up with my journey and has had something nice to say about my work.

What's next for Ricky Roman?

That’s a very good question. I truly don’t feel like I’m quite done yet in this space. But after working in the space for over a decade, I’ve been wondering…what’s next!? It scares the hell out of me. But that's exciting. Let me get back to you on that. Until then, you can find me online creating content or shaking it up at one of our fabulous gay bars here in NYC.
