If you're an Elder Millennial™ such as myself, then you grew up low-key (read: high-key) obsessed with the "NOW That's What I Call Music!" collection. For the unfamiliar, the "NOW..." albums are a collection of some of the biggest Top 40 hits at that time. The series is so successful that it has become the bestselling multiple-artist album series in the world, and, at this point, it seems like there are roughly 37,000 volumes of the hugely popular music collection. But even though all pop music feels fundamentally just a little bit Queer, these LGBTQ+-specific editions really drive home the message and have me wanting to dance my ass off.

"NOW That's What I Call Proud" features 16 iconic songs from pop faves like Lil Nas X, Kim Petras, Sam Smith, Elton John, Queen, and more. What's really great, also, is that the album covers a few different decades. I mean... would a Pride album really be a Pride album if we didn't have songs from the '80s? Specifically, the tracklist is:
1. Outside - George Michael
2. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
3. I'm Still Standing - Elton John
4. That's What I Want - Lil Nas X
5. Whadaya Want From Me - Adam Lambert
6. Stay With Me - Sam Smith
7. Heart to Break - Kim Petras
8. Becky's So Hot - FLETCHER
9. Let's Have a Kiki - Scissor Sisters
10. Closer - Tegan and Sara
11. My My My! - Troye Sivan
12. Girls Like Girls - Hayley Kiyoko
13. Honey - Kehlani
14. Come to My Window - Melissa Etheridge
15. Closer to Fine - Indigo Girls
16. Constant Craving - k.d. lang
These albums are always a blast, but having a Pride edition released going into June is admittedly pretty damn wonderful. The albums debuted in the U.S. in 1998 after over a decade of multi-platinum international success. And now, the series has sold over 250 million albums globally, with over 105 million of those sales being in the United States alone. Even more impressive: 68 of the volumes have landed spots on Billboard's Top 10, and 19 of them have reached #1 on Billboard, the most coveted spot in the music industry.
Last year's "NOW That's What I Call Pride" was their inaugural LGBTQ+ release, and with how successful it was, it's looking like this could be an annual tradition. You can download "NOW That's What I Call Proud" wherever you stream, and if you want to own a copy, then you can buy it on CD or digitally and on vinyl. Interestingly, the vinyl editions are being sold exclusively at Target.
