Jordan Jayro’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8 Recap: Episode 4, Screen Queens

Hello, hello, hello! It’s a brand-new week at the Gay Olympics! And yes, I am talking about RuPaul’s Drag Race! I am back once again to recap this week’s fierce new episode of All Stars 8! So far we’ve already said goodbye to three queens! It feels like some seasons drag on forever, but this time they’re dropping like flies! We have to remember that the Fame Games are still in effect, so anyone can take the $50,000 prize! Anywho, let’s get into this new episode!

The queens are back in the werk room after last week’s ball challenge. Jessica Wild is now $30,000 richer since winning that lip sync! She reflected on her decision to send Kasha home, saying that Kasha mentioned wanting to be home with her dogs and Mr. Davis. Next, the queens sat down to tally the votes! Four queens including Kasha voted to send Darienne Lake home. Jaymes, who said it was based on track record. Jimbo also blamed track record, and Heidi was the third vote but didn’t give a reason. Jessica then confronted the queens about some “sour faces” when she was revealed to be the winner of the challenge. I think many of us expected Heidi to win that challenge. I wouldn’t care if I were Jessica because she just won $30,000. Let those other girls stay mad.

Alas, it’s a new day in the werk room! And there’s a video message from RuPaul and her bus driver wig! Hello, hello, hello! Ru enters the werk room and tells the queens that for this week’s maxi challenge, the queens will be creating trailers for a sickening scripted series starring themselves! They will also be working in three teams. The teams will be decided with a good ol’ balloon-popping game. Team one is Lala Ri, Kahanna Montrese, and Heidi N. Closet. Team two is Darienne Lake, Jaymes Mansfield, and Alexis Michelle. And team three is Kandy Muse, Jessica Wild, and Jimbo.

The time has come to see these trailers! First up is Jaymes, Darienne, and Alexis’ team! Their trailer shows them getting stranded on an island that is haunted by dead celebrities. I thought the idea was great, but there were no comedic moments. I didn’t chuckle once!

Next up is Kandy, Jessica, and Jimbo’s team! Their trailer was a super-raunchy teen comedy. It was actually really hilarious. Jimbo was perfect in the role of the nerdy friend, and Kandy and Jessica were amazing as the slutty popular girls.

Next is Heidi, Kahanna, and Lala Ri’s Team! Heidi and Lala were the breakout stars of this trailer. They played two friends on a mission to steal some tucking panties. Kahanna was also pretty good in the trailer, but she struggled to keep up with Heidi and Lala Ri.

Let’s talk about the runway! This week the category is Ass The World Turns! Overall, I really liked the looks this week! Some of my favorites were Alexis Michelle, Kandy Muse, Jimbo, and Kahanna Montrese. Kandy wore this sickening inflatable fantasy, and Jimbo wore a breastplate on her ass! The only queen who I think suffered on the runway was Darienne Lake. I know a few queens with this exact outfit in a myriad of colors. So I wanted to see her make it her own. The body was incredible though! And the judges loved it! I’m just splitting hairs.

Jimbo is the top All-Star of the week! She’s won a cash prize of $5,000! Unfortunately, Jaymes Mansfield, Darienne Lake, and Alexis Michelle are the bottom All-Stars of the week! Jimbo now has to lip-sync against this week’s lip-sync assassin, who is… Shanel! From season one! She looks incredible! They lip-sync to “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett. And the winner is… Shanel! This means that she now gets to reveal the lipstick of the queen that the other queens have chosen to go home. And that queen is… Darienne Lake! I’m so sad to see her go! Darienne really is a fierce queen! But she is now entered into the Fame Games! So anything can happen!
