Though unquestionably an historic day, King Charles III's coronation was not met with united joy across the United Kingdom. Tens of thousands of people from around the world lined the streets of London to witness the event, but it was the lawn of the Royal Crescent that garnered some of the biggest (and I do mean biggest) attention around the world. An unknown anti-Monarchist mowed a huge dick into the grass of where one of the biggest coronation celebrations was going to be held.

It's a rather clever protest prank when you consider just how much of the world view the King's family as a bunch of royal pricks who have colonized much of the globe. The Royal Crescent, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is located about 120 miles west of the city, and is renowned for its pristine lawns (to say nothing of its incredible Georgian architecture). Making the prank even more incredible? The Royal Crescent's lawn is known as a "Ha-Ha."
Sex-based scandals are certainly nothing new to England's royal family. Long mocked for the centuries of inbreeding, the family has also been wracked with cheating, Nazi scandals, and accusations of murder. One playwright predicted much of the family's current drama. Mike Bartlett's 2014 play - aptly titled King Charles III - was then adapted into a PBS Masterpiece series of the same name in 2017, and seems predicted much of the family's current drama.
On a basic level, the film portrays the ghost of Princess Diana haunting Charles. Though obviously no actual apparitions of Diana are known to have appeared, her memory has long hung over Charles' head, and for good reason: the world has always been a bit cold to Chuck, whereas Diana is considered to be one of the most beloved members of the royal family's history. She tragically died in a car crash shortly after then-Prince Charles cheated on her with now-Queen Camilla.
In terms of outright predictions, though, King Charles III specifically features Prince Harry marrying a non-royal who is Black, with the family worried that he'll waive his royal titles in favor of love. Worth noting: the play was written years before Harry and Meghan had ever even met.
King Charles III also addressed the fact that Charles' coronation would be met with protests, particularly because much of the country wanted Charles to abdicate in favor of his eldest son Prince William. It would have saved the United Kingdom a ton of money for the taxpayers, given that they will repeat this entire charade again within the next twenty years since King Charles is already 76 years old and won't likely live/rule for much longer than that.
Here's the trailer to watch, and the full film is available to rent on both AppleTV and Amazon Prime Video.
