At this point, it really is a tale as old as time: a conservative GOP member votes against gay rights and then ends up being a closeted homo (allegedly..). We saw it with Larry Craig's toe-tapping ass back in the early 2000s, Catholic Priest Keith O'Brien's anti-gay preachings won him "Bigot of the Year" in Britain before he resigned for maxing sexual advances on four priests after evening prayers, and we've seen it in countless other examples. Now, we've got Tennessee Lt. Governor Randy McNally.
Lt. Governor McNally has been actively supporting Tennessee's anti-LGBTQ+ bills, including the recent anti-drag bill that just passed. Surprising literally no one, it's just been discovered that Lt. Governor McNally has been liking and commenting on numerous hyper-sexual pictures of IG user Franklyn McClure, who goes by his performer name, Franklyn Superstar (@franklynsuperstar). Superstar posts incredibly sexy and scantily-clad/borderline nude pics, which the Lt. Governor has been commenting on and liking. One pic showing the tiny twink wearing only underwear, ass to the camera, had the Lt. Governor comment, "Finn, you can turn a rainy day into rainbows and sunshine!"
Worth noting: Finn is Superstar's nickname, and is not something readily available on his page. In other words... the Lt. Gov knows his persona intimately. Also worth noting is that when this story broke, Superstar only had around 1,300 followers, so it's not as if this is some JFF performer with 50k followers who's in the top 1% of blah blah blah. He's literally some random twink who the Lt. Governor follows from his office's verified account. Mind you: Superstar doesn't follow him back.
My favorite caption is definitely Superstar's former bio, where he wrote, "I Am not a WHORE, I Am a HOE! There is a difference! One is a SLUT and the other is a PROSTITUTE! I'm the one that gets free weed for giving head!" First of all... werk. We love a sex-positive twink who knows his worth. Second of all... actually, no; just werk.
The Lt. Governor previously defended the posts saying he likes to encourage all of his constituents (lol), saying he had no intentions of slowing down on social media. After significant enough backlash from his party, he deleted the comments and has apologized for his comments/likes, saying, "I’m really, really sorry if I’ve embarrassed my family, embarrassed my friends, embarrassed any of the members of the legislature with the posts." Though he deleted the comments, as of this posting he still follows Superstar, who, again, does not follow McNally back. Superstar said he views the Lt. Governor's backtracking apologies as "sad."
He also didn't know that the Lt. Governor had helped spearhead anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.“He did appreciate my posts, for whatever reason that was, and I don’t think you should be embarrassed. I think it’s telling of Tennessee, it’s telling of Republicans and homophobic,” Superstar said. “I just think it’s sad that we live in a society that we can’t just all be friends, right? We can’t just all love each other and appreciate each other for who we are, instead of thinking that we need to change each other.”
