YAS GAGA! We haven’t seen our queen on a red carpet in quite some time! I was surprised to see her at the Oscars! Gaga has been hard at work filming her new movie Joker: Folie à Deux so I figured she’d sit this one out. But, she was nominated for Best Original Song for her song “Hold My Hand” from the movie Top Gun: Maverick. And we know she loves an award campaign (there can be a hundred people in a room…). Gaga looked sickening in this Versace gown, fresh off the runway! And she’s wearing her natural hair! Girl, what lace?!

Cara Delevingne in Elie Saab Couture

She’s back!! Cara Delevingne looks stunning in this red Elie Saab Couture gown, in one of her first public appearances since revealing she went to rehab to seek treatment for addiction. Everything about this look is so well done! The hair, the jewelry, the shoe, the leg!! It’s all stunning. Sobriety looks good on Ms. Delevingne! She looks great, and I can tell she’s feeling great! She better werk.

Stop everything! This is a moment! Harvey Guillén looks incredible in Christian Siriano’s first-ever plus-sized menswear look! I love this play on a traditional men’s tuxedo with a skirt! And the jacquard fabric adds an extra oomph to the already gorgeous silhouette. It catches light beautifully! And the finger waves in the hair are so cute! Harvey slayed this look! He attended the Oscars in support of his movie Puss in Boots, which was nominated for Best Animated Feature. Looks like a winner to me!

Angela Bassett in Moschino

Our Lord and Savior Angela Bassett always gets the assignment! And she did not disappoint in this flawless Moschino gown! This shade of purple looks amazing on her, and the way the fabric wraps around her body is so flattering! Would I have loved to see bigger hair? Absolutely! I’m a drag queen, I will always want bigger hair! But nonetheless, she looks incredible. And not to be cringe, but SHE DID THE THING!

If there’s one thing Rihanna will do, it’s serve sex on a red carpet. Pregnant or not, she’s going to give it to us! And we should all be thankful. This woman is out here working this Alaïa look with her bump out and proud. And in true Rihanna style, we’re getting sexy sheer black mesh with black leather just to highlight the important parts! And the slits across the hips? Just a little something to gag the gays a bit. She was nominated for Best Original Song for her song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Zoe Saldana in Fendi

I love Zoe Saldana, but this was not it. She’s wearing this lacey situation by Fendi, and it’s just not doing her any favors. The one good thing about this dress is that if she gets smashed and falls asleep, it’s like she’s already in her pajamas. This makes me sad! I really loved her in that Netflix series where she marries the Italian guy and he’s a great chef but then he gets cancer and dies! Spoiler alert: he dies in the end.

Cate Blanchett in Louis Vuitton

Something about the shape of this gown is just unsettling to me. Cate Blanchett is a stunning woman, but the top half of this Louis Vuitton gown is just missing the mark. The way it drapes does not flatter her or give her a waist. And the big shoulders with the cape sleeves are making her look more broad than she is. To borrow a word from The Countess herself, “Even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes.”

Laverne Cox in Vintage Vera Wang

It pains me to say this, but Laverne Cox is not serving in this vintage Vera Wang ensemble. This is so mind-boggling to me because she literally looks incredible all the time! She can do no wrong! But this is just not the vibe. The nude part doesn’t match her skin tone well enough, and I don’t like the teal with the black draped gloves. This vintage look is proof that not everything comes back in style.

Florence Pugh in Valentino

Florence Pugh is definitely serving from the neck up! The jewelry, hair, and makeup are flawless! I will give her that. However! This taffeta dress is wildly unflattering. I will never understand the appeal of wrinkly taffeta on a red carpet. And to make matters worse, the slit goes all the way to the bust to reveal… shorts! Shorts! Shorts at the Oscars! I know it’s Valentino but my goodness it’s the Oscars!

Nicole Kidman in Armani Privé

My issues with this look start at the top. Queen of the lace front Nicole Kidman threw on her finest shake-and-go for the Oscars! Do the girls not know that if your gown has a high neck, you should not wear your hair down? Were there no gays around to tell her this?! And this dress!! It’s Armani Privé, but these giant flowers need to go. If she had a sloppy bun and no flowers, this look would be stunning. Heartbreak feels like heartbreak when you’re wearing these flowers. Nicole, blink twice if you need help!
