Hi, friends! I'm back again with another Go-Go Spotlight! This week's Go-Go Boy Spotlight is the uber sexy Jay Kay! He's got great style, and a hell of a smile! We met recently at Precinct in DTLA and I was immediately taken with Jay Kay's sexy demeanor and fun personality. We chatted for a bit and I immediately wanted the chance to interview him. You can catch him dancing at Los Angles venues like Precinct, The Eagle, and many more! Check out his answers below, with some sexy pictures sprinkled throughout. Follow him on Instagram to see even more. Enjoy!

Go-Go Name:
At first, it was Jay K, but I just go by Kyle.
How did you get your name?
I didn't exactly have a choice. The promoters just ended up putting Kyle on the flyers and I kind of just stuck to it and gave up on being called my original name. Jay K is a play on for J.K., my first and middle initials, and J.K. is also text lingo for just kidding.
When did you start go-go dancing and what got you into it?
I remember being 18 years old and going to Rage in WeHo (RIP Rage), and seeing the most beautiful men on the box dancing and feelin' themselves and thinkin' it was hella cool! Three years later, I walked into Precinct DTLA and saw again, more beautiful men just living their best life! I had a friend at the time who was a bear go-go dancer and hearing about how there were go-go dancers who were big boys on the box just gettin' their life made me excited to see them too! I heard the stigma of bear dancers being the kings of the good ol' "1-2 step" and made it a point that even guys who identify themselves within the bear community can break it down just as good as anybody else on stage. So May 2022, I did a go-go dancing competition where I won an award for being the bartender's favorite dancer, and was booked for my first gig afterward! I grew my career from then on.

Favorite styles of music and artists to dance to:
So I have my 3 little camps of music I love vibing to, Punk Rock, EDM, and good ol' pop music! I love dancing to progressive house music, and recently I've been getting super into dark underground techno music you'd hear in places like Berlin and sh*t. But you can always see me turn up to a Beyonce/Doja/Riri/Britney song at any given moment, I gotta throw my favorite girlies in there somehow.
Venues & parties you dance at:
You'll typically find me at my home bar, Precinct, dancing for notable events like Biqtchin', Bearacuda, What's my age Again?, and sometimes Fat Slut! I'll also dance at places like Eagle LA for Colton Stenke Parties, i.e. Stynk and Jungle! And I'm also dancing for a new bear night hosted at Mickey's in West Hollywood called Bar Bear Ian!
Favorite thing to wear while dancing:
Now I'm a person who loves to accessorize! I have a punk aesthetic I've built for myself which includes a black bandana with skulls on it, a spiky choker, with a black leather backpack harness, spiked wrist and arm cuffs, a leather jock with a belt and chain wrapped around my hips, some thigh garters, and my good ol' black converse with some long black socks.

Favorite part of your body:
My chest, I love how big my pecs have gotten recently, I call them my Tig ol' Biddies.
Your signature dance move:
There is something about slowly crouching to the floor while getting on my knees and twerking that makes me feel like a super slut on stage and I love it.
Have you ever hooked up with a club patron?
I never kiss and tell!!!! I will say I have hooked up at a bar with someone but honest to god, I don't think I did it during a go-go gig.
Have you ever hooked up with another dancer?
Okay, this I can't be ambiguous about because there is a photo of me and my friend making out on stage at Precinct for Bearracuda and I swear up and down it's probably one of the hottest photos I've taken.

Biggest pet peeve when people are tipping you:
Yes, my ass is out, yes you may touch it, but for god’s sake please don't smack it as hard as you can if you ain't tippin’ more; it's traumatic for my buttocks.
Biggest pet peeve about working with other go-go boys:
This one is about to get hella deep. I've worked with tons of boys with all kinds of lovely personalities, and honestly, I've made so many incredible friends through this. But what I don't respect are dancers who don't want to give you the time of day because they don't deem you worthy or attractive enough to want to be friendly or have any kind of notion to chat with you on the basis of their own shallowness. I remember working my first big gig for a promoter I really liked and it was three of us dancing the event. One of the dancers was so kind to me and so lovely to work with, while the other one basically made it clear he really couldn't be bothered with me, and would purposefully exclude me from chatting with the other dancer who was so nice to me. Luckily, it didn't taint the experience, but it made me realize some people would only really give you the time of day if they were attracted to you, and those kinds of dancers I definitely would return that same energy back. Maybe I'm being naive about it being Kumbaya, but I’d assume everyone would be respectful, and just vibe with each other. Hell, I danced at an event recently with another dancer who acted exactly like that again! It just made me annoyed people can be that superficial.

What advice would you give to a new go-go dancer?
I told this to a friend of mine, shoutout to Nick, or reigning Mr. Megawoof, that he would feel really nervous going up on stage sometimes. I told him not to think of it so much like really bad anxiety, it's more like nervous excitement! It's understandable trying to get used to the idea of being half-naked in front of a crowd. It's a mental challenge you get used to once you’re on stage feelin' your oats, or even just worried about your dancing in general. At the end of the day, I don't think there is a level of seriousness that needs to be taken with go-go dancing, it should just be fun!!! Fun for you, the crowd, and overall, you should make the most out of your experience with it! The spotlight is on you to make it happen darlin’!
Favorite thing about being a go-go boy:
I kind of partially mentioned it before, but honestly, you'll meet some of the coolest people who're dancers. When you get to know them, you'd never know what kind of story that person has. It's incredible the kinds of friends you make along the way who're also working really hard in the world we live in.
What do you like to do when you’re not go-go dancing?
You'll definitely find me in my element playing video games! Notably Bayonetta as of late. I've been playing that game since I was like 11. I really had to fake it saying I was a straight kid playing the game saying she was hot. In actuality, I was playing it because it was camp as fuck. And punching bitches with giant hair and heels was where it was at.

What do you love about the city you live in?
The variety of different ethnic cultures here is incredible!!! Long Beach is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the US and it definitely takes pride in that! Along with the queer scene here, they're all so nice.
Hobbies:
Gym, video games, amateur guitar playing, softball for gay leagues, listening to random commentary videos ranging from learning where the hell dieting culture came from to cults.
Your hidden talent:
I can put my whole fist in my mouth, wanna see?
Last TV show you binge-watched:
I was rewatching this Sanrio animated series on Netflix, the bitches who made Ms. Hello Kitty, called Aggretsuko. It's about this 25-year-old red panda working at her good ol' toxic workplace and how she vents her frustrations is to go to a karaoke bar and belt her rage by screaming to death metal music.

Top 3 favorite movies:
Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Kill Bill.
Perfect romantic date:
Morning sex, breakfast at home, going out to the boardwalk to play arcade games where I kick your butt at air hockey and racing games while you kick my butt at literally anything else—walking along the beach, coming back home to a nice relaxed dinner where we turn on our favorite song playlist and dance in the living room like some dorky fools, to holding each other close dancing to the cheesiest slow song, to MORE steamy unholy things happening in the bedroom to just cuddling each other in bed.
Favorite sex position:
Missionary. What can I say, I'm a romantic at heart.
Celebrity crush:
I guess considering he's in the mainstream media right now, Pedro Pascal has my entire heart. I hope he has a wonderful day every day.
