Well, the hard stats are in: men's dicks have grown substantially over the last 80 years. Yay! ...right? Well, maybe not according to one research team at Stanford University. Based on a compilation of research studies, Dr. Michael Eisenberg and his team of researchers have looked at data starting before World War 2 and up to 2021. In a 29-year span within that time, men's average size increased a meaty 24% from an average 4.8" erect to 6".
While this is seemingly very excitable—excuse me... exciting news, it also points to some major issues in trends, mainly in how fast the changes have occurred. Changes in inches like this are something more typically seen one way or the other over much longer periods of time. These issues are even harder to swallow when looked at against other trends over the same period, mainly those of decreased sperm counts, increased amounts of non-descending testicles (cryptorchidism), and also incorrectly forming urethras (hypospadias). “Our reproductive system is one of the most important pieces of human biology,” Eisenberg told the World's Journal of Men's Health. “If we’re seeing this fast of a change, it means that something powerful is happening to our bodies.”
What's causing this rapid change in growth? Follow-up research is needed, but it seems like chemicals in our diets, in the air, and in hygiene products are the most likely culprits. Also needed is similar research into whether or not female reproductive organs have been similarly affected. Said Eisenberg, “It’s important to ask if there are similar changes occurring to women’s reproductive organs.”
But hey, let's look at it this way: a Grindr 6" may finally ACTUALLY be 8" which is good news for all you size embellishers out there.
