Porn star and podcaster Adam Ramzi has joined the Fleshbot X Cybersocket family with the addition of his and Cole Connor's popular porn podcast Sorry for Asking on our pod network. It's a fun tea-spilling session with two of porn's hottest stars. We caught up with Adam to talk about the pod, his favorite porn stories, and his co-host, Cole Connor.
1. What's your go-to best "I work in porn" story that you tell at dinner parties or gay hangouts?
I have a lot of good ones and some not-so-good ones. My favorite stories to tell are usually the ones in which I connect very deeply with my scene partner. My first time with Tommy Defendi, which was a real turning point for me; the time I worked with Seven Dixon and we realized just before filming that we were born on the exact same day; meeting Jason Vario and essentially having an on-location romance for a few days; the time Dirk Caber rescued me from a scene with a performer who bailed mid-scene, and Dirk came in and banged it out. The not-so-good ones are fewer but make for just as fun stories to tell.
2. Who is the target audience for your podcast, Sorry For Asking?
I would say the target audience is anyone who likes gay porn, but honestly, the subject matter is entertaining and informative enough that it can land with anyone! But mostly, it’s for lovers of gay porn.
3. If you could describe your co-host, Cole Connor, as the living embodiment of any fictional character, who would he be?
Oh, this is a tough one! Cole is indeed a multi-faceted character, but if I had to pick one, I’d say he’s the living embodiment of my favorite 30 Rock character, Jenna Maroney, because he delivers his humor in a similar manner. He’s charming, funny, knows how to get his way, is adorably kooky, and always has his heart in the right place.
4. What podcasts are you obsessed with right now? What makes a must-listen pod?
I enjoyed My Favorite Murder for a long time mostly because the hosts, Karen and Georgia, have the most amazing banter. Their chemistry is sort of what I’m trying to emulate with our show. Lately, I’ve been listening to 60 Songs That Explain the '90s, because I’m a big music nerd and love the way Rob breaks down every song. For me, a podcast is successful if its hosts know how to not take themselves too seriously, while still delivering the goods. A good podcast makes me feel like I’m actually a part of the conversation.
5. When you meet a stranger, what's a good question to ask other than oh where do you live, what do you do?
This changes for me depending on the situation, but lately a go-to of mine is sneaking a way to ask someone’s birthday, is and then asking if they feel like they strongly identify with their zodiac sign or if they don’t really care. How they answer is very telling!
